Echoes 2

"Ruin me daddy," Philip said spreading his legs wider for Josh to have better access. "I'm I ready to open up to someone and give them my heart. What if I end up broken and shamed like last time. Those wounds took months to heal not forgetting the ones that turned to scars in my heart." he thought to himself. Joshua said he love him sure but so did he, right. Philip's mind went back to the time when he thought he was loved more than anything and he thought that the love he felt for him too would drive him insane, though it did at the end. "Nathan," he breathed out his name loudly, wrapping his hand around Joshua who became confused and angry. When he realised what he'd said he cried. He still has so much hold on him though time had passed by giving Joshua no right to stay angry at him. "Hey, what is wrong? who is Nathan?" Joshua asked trying to wipe out the tears that streamed from his eyes. "I'm sorry this was supposed to be about us and not my past but I....God!" he said seating up on the bed.He looked at the man who was prepared to leave his long relationship to be with him. These was worth it, he was worth it. Clossing his eyes he decided to tell him the truth, to start afresh and give himself a chance to love and be loved rightly. "Can I....I have something to tell you about my past," Fear embedded on his face as he looked at Joshua wondering if he would listen. The doubt was erased when Joshua held his hand and said " I'm listening my love." With this assurance he started talking. " My father had a lot of business partners like your dad but the was one who used to come home a lot with my father and sometimes alone. Nathan," he paused to read the expression on his husband's face but he was listening intensely so he continued "When my dad ignored me and blamed me for the death of my mother, he was the one who cheered me on. He always to me that he loved me but to me at first I thought yeah, the father I've never had though he was younger than my father. It was nice being loved, he would take me to see movies, eat out and sometimes we'd just talk at home. My father acted like he wasn't aware of the man's actions and he never even warned me." His lips quivered as the memories flashed on his mind but the hand holding him made him to take a deep breath and " One day my dad came with him home and said they had something to tell me. I didn't know what to do...I swear...I was...I had no choice." he stammered as he relived the days that nearly killed him. Joshua could see that he was more than traumatised and he remembered last night's plea. Anger rose in him, how could a father even go to this extent with his only child? but irregardless he held him close to comfort him, "it's ok babe I believe you and it ok just take a deep breath" Philip could not hold the tears in anymore, they flooded on his face and he became pink as he held to his heart and the man close to him. " He said Nathan would take good care of me and he had decided to give me to him as a business d...deal. I left with him that night to his home after begging my father to rethink his decision. He didn't," Phil's complexion turned pale as he bitterly said continued and it was like Joshua could stop him dreading the unknown. "I convinced myself that night that he really loved me, remembering the things he did for me and he proved me right by not touching me that night. In the morning he was midway in trying his luck and I was gonna let him. God! but his wife and son came home from visiting his parents," he paused feeling embarrassed about what he was about to say, but he had to say it maybe the woman would stop traumatising him. "Help me make her go away please," he prayed helplessly. Joshua's heart broke.
