Twisted Fate

Chapter 1

Allison POV

As I stepped into the gleaming forest covered with long trees and with vast acres of land which helps us to go for a run in our wolf form whenever we feel like it. Our werewolf’s world is kept hidden from human so as to not cause any problem to anyone.

I am a pure white wolf with a black strip on my back. I am Alisson, daughter of the Alpha of The Blood Stone Pack along with my twin Aliza. My parents always thought me the right and wrong but what they forgot was that both of them were doing wrong by their other daughter who deserves equal care and love as her twin.

Shaking my thoughts, I focus on transforming in my wolf form and going for the run. Soon I feel a tingling sensation going within my entire body and my skin was replaced with the fur. Soon I was running in the woods with my feet pouncing on the ground. After a while I reach a creek.

Near my pack house there is a creek hidden behind the cave of woods. It is my solace place where I find the silence warm and breathing. This place always helps me to clear my chaosed mind.

I just sat there looking at flowing water, my gaze unfocused as my mind was miles away. I wanted to escape all this that's happening and run away.

But something always stops me, thinking that one day might come where my parents will realize that I was not strong but it had to be so that I would stop hurting this way. I stayed in the hope that one day my mate will come and be that soul mate who will Cherish me for the way I am.

I shake my head at my thinking because I had a feeling that theses wish of mine were not going to come true any time soon. Life is full of surprises. How can one decide who is strong and who is weak the moment they are born just because the optics of the situation points it?

Life has been unpredictable till now but I am still holding it all together so that I won't be more broken then I already am.

"Where are you?" I hear Nathan's voice in my mind link.

"Creek" is all I say. There was a silence for few seconds, after that he says "Come to pack house, Alpha is asking for you"

"Really?" I ask getting excited.

"Yup" he mind links.

"Will be there" saying that I get up and run back to the pack house in my wolf speed hoping that might be dad needs something from me. Hoping that I will have a glimpse of my Dad which I always find when he is with my twin.

Nearing the pack ground I see that many wolves were training. As I cross the training ground, Nathan appears on the front steps of the pack house.

"Alpha is in the office, will meet you after training" saying that he leaves not even giving me a chance to say 'hi'.

Nathan has always been focused in his life and I am glad to have a friend c*m brother in him.

The pack house is huge with its grand opening in the hallway. The majestic entrance down the hallway introduce an elegant formal lounge and a fireplace, formal twenty-seater dining table with a marble kitchen with all the needed appliances. There are master rooms, on with sequence of pack position. The fifth floor is fully for the Alpha and his children with his own theater and gaming room on the east wing. Then the fourth floor is for the beta and his mate and children. Third floor is for the omega and his children. Second floor is for all the pack warriors and their mates. First floor has rooms for the pack members who likes to stay in the pack house. The ground floor is the kitchen, library, office and living area and dining room.

Apart from that our pack lands are vast with forest trees covering the borders. The pack members are scattered around the acres land with their own little cottages who wanted to stay in their own homes. They are always welcome to stay at the pack house whenever they feel like. This freedom is being given since a long time.

As I walk the corridor of the long hallway towards my Dad's office, I could feel my heart thumping loudly in my ribcage. I was hoping that my father will always call me and care me the same way he does for my twin. Wishful thinking is all I have.

Once near the office, I knock and wait for his permission to enter. His deep voice bids me to enter.

Once entering I find that Mom and Aliza are already present there. My twin gives me an innocent smirk. I smile back and turn to Dad.

"Good morning Dad, Mom"

"You asked for me Dad?" I ask. Even though I was trying hard to hide the hope in my voice I could not do it.

At that he looks up. His glittering green eyes, I have the same eyes like him. That's why my sister does not like me because she has inherited my mom's amber eyes.

"Yes" I snap out of my thinking when I hear my Dad voice and wait for him to continue.

"After one month both of you are turning 18. I want everything to be best so that Aliza can find her mate on her eighteen birthday. You are to organize the party and make it super grand for your twin" he says.

I wait for him to continue and address me saying that it's even my birthday but all to no avail.

"Is that all Dad?" I ask. My voice came out scratchy as there was a lump forming in my throat with the emotions.

"Yes. You may leave" he dismissed me.

I turn around to leave avoiding eyes of my Mom and twin. Walking near the door, I turn the door knob when Dad stops me

With an expectant expression "Make sure you do the right arrangements. Close the door on your way out" and just like that all my hopes shattered right there.

Clearing my throat, I say "Will make sure that everything is as per Aliza's liking Dad" not waiting anymore, I turn around and walk out from there.

With my heart heavy and holding back the tears I walk out of the office and climb the stairs in my wolf speed. After a few seconds I reach my room and close the door behind me. I sank down on my knees and let the tears fall behind the closed doors. In the solace of my room, my silent crying was the only thing which can indicate that there is a lifeless soul present in this room.

"Ali" I hear Nathan's voice. Wiping my tears, I scrambled to my feet and get up. Opening the door, I come face to face with my best friend. Seeing is strained smile I realized that he knows. And the tears start.

 Taking me in his arms, he just hugs me in a comforting way that only he can give. No one can me the care which I get from him. The care and love which I should get from my parents, I am getting it from my best friend/ brother.

"Ssh, it's okay. I am here" he says in his soft voice.

After what felt like eternity I stop crying and move back. Hiccupping a little all the while.

He gives me a tissue and I blow my nose in it. I let out a chuckle at the way Nathan, wrinkled his nose.

I lightly punch him on the arm and he grin.

"Always remember that your best friend is here for you no matter what" he says.

Smiling at him in a thankful manner, I reply "I am glad and so lucky to have you. Thank you for always being there" with that I give him a hug

Moving back, he says "so will you tell me why the water works?"

After that I narrate him what all happened in the office.

"Hmm. Don't worry my dear best friend. I will make sure it will be your best eighteenth birthday. After all, why fear when your best friend is here" I chuckle at that and freeze on the spot at the same time with what he says next. With all that I have been through, I totally forgot that there is something in store for me as well, something which might make it better or worse for me. But I was hoping it to be the former and not the latter.
