Chapter 2: Just a misunderstanding

"I'm sorry, I don't have any idea of what has happened between us. All I know is we did a terrible thing," said Aria.

Aria couldn't believe that she had stayed in a hotel room with someone other than her husband. She's a married woman and even her husband cheated on her. How could she let herself lose? She felt disgusted.

Aria looked at the man who had already plastered a broad smile on his face.

"It's okay, you made my night a special one." Alfred's words are playful and sound like he is seducing Aria.

Alfred jumped out of bed still wearing his clothes, which made Aria ask herself if something had really happened between them. A lot of questions are already running in her head. They are still wearing their clothes, but why is it her body feels so sore if nothing really happened between them last night?

Alfred made his way to the kitchen and started fetching up ingredients that he could make for breakfast.

Aria followed Alfred to the kitchen. "Can I ask you something? You know I just want to clear things out," asked Aria.

Alfred opened the fridge and fetched some eggs. Aria was surprised by Alfred's calmness, it seemed like he'd been doing this kind of stuff for so long. Well, maybe handsome boys are fond of one-night stands, she thought.

Alfred started to cook a scrambled egg and made coffee for both of them. "Sit" he uttered while placing the food on the table. He pulled a chair out for Aria to sit on and eyed her to sit across from him.

"I will answer all your questions if you eat breakfast with me." Alfred pointed at the coffee and egg that he had just made with satisfaction. Alfred seems to enjoy the situation, but he also plans to tell Aria that nothing really happened between them. He sees Aria as someone who would not engage in casual s*x.

Aria couldn't keep her hunger and did not refuse Alfred's offer. God knows how hungry she is right now.

Aria sat across from Alfred and started shoveling the egg into her mouth like no one was around watching her.

Alfred's eyes sparkled and made a soft laugh before saying "Geez, take your time. You don't have to eat like it's the end of the world" Alfred's voice sounded amused and entertained by the things that he was witnessing.

After hearing Alfred's words, Aria looked at him and saw how striking his amused face was. This made Aria feel embarrassed. "Sorry, I'm just so hungry and was unable to control myself." Aria let out an awkward laugh while looking at Alfred. Aria was beyond belief how Alfred was still enjoying the sight of her eating eagerly.

She grabbed a tissue on the table and wiped her mouth with it before talking." Anyways, enough with that entertained face of yours." She spat and looked semi-irritated. "I can't remember what happened last night. This may sound funny, but can you tell me what we really did last night?" Aria mustered the courage to ask such a lousy question.

Alfred's eyes darted into Aria's eyes like he was reading her thoughts. "What do you think would a drunk man and a drunk woman do and spend the night in a hotel room?" Alfred was very playful and was enjoying how Aria was clueless about what happened between them last night. So, instead of answering Aria's question, he threw another question to make Aria fluster.

Right, they have spent the night in a hotel room, drunk and wasted. What would I expect? Pray? Huh! Funny me. Aria ruminate

"I was out of breath last night. I didn't think that a skinny woman could drain my energy in just one night." Alfred teased Aria. His lips curved and the look on his face while reminiscing what happened last night made Aria's ears turn red and hot.

Aria felt embarrassed. That made her wish to turn back time and prevent things from happening.

Alfred stood up and made his way behind Aria's chair. "Do you want me to spill it in details?" he appealingly teased her.

This man really enjoys the situation and Aria can clearly see it.

Aria stood up and faced him. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer. "I know it already. You don't have to narrate every little thing we did last night," she displeasingly uttered with a stony cold voice. She just wants to sound like it's nothing for her, and she wishes she could hide it well.

Alfred's face was plastered with a smirk on his lips, making him more attractive and pleasingly making him more attractive to Aria. "Okay, since you already said it. So, what's your plan now? Alfred walked to go back to his seat and sipped his coffee elegantly.

Aria gulped at the sight of him, wondering how he make sipping coffee a splendid sight to anyone. She knows that it's not just her who is captivated by his looks. He has every feature that a woman could ask for.

She immediately rubbed out that idea and composed herself "I plan on doing this as if nothing ever happened between us. Name your price." Aria decided to bury things in the grave with money.

Alfred's face showed an unexpected expression. He was mad. After saving Aria from predators, he didn't expect that Aria would be someone who he thinks she was not.

Alfred angrily stood up and grabbed Aria's arms, gripping them first, before dragging them out of the room.

Aria tried to protest and moved her body hysterically, but Alfred was too strong and she couldn't do anything to make him stop until they were out of the room.

"I never thought that you were that kind of woman" Alfred uttered while showing his hostile glare. His words were like sharp knives to Aria.

Aria couldn't even utter a single word, she looked at Alfred's face, which was contorted with rage. His gaze was even sharper than his words, to be exact.

"I... I didn't mean it that wa-" Aria's words were cut by Alfred's response.

"Just go" Alfred slammed the door very hard, which made Aria taken aback.

Aria couldn't figure out why he was so angry and suddenly kicked her out of the room.

Knowing that Aria is outside, some passersby are looking at her with curiosity. She left her things inside and she just can't go home looking like s**t. Well, how could she walk outside of this hotel and go home confidently with her disheveled hair, a lifeless bare face, and damn she even forgot to wear her heels!
