Chapter 3: The storm within

1056 Words
Gavin was beyond belief by the look of Aria. "Where did you go last night and what have you done?" Gavin asked. He followed Aria, who had just got home looking so wasted and reeking with the smell of alcohol. "Look at yourself, someone might have seen you. Father would really be mad if someone saw you and reported it to him," Gavin continued on preaching. Aria didn't bother to rebut. She doesn't have the energy to do so. After knocking a hundred times at Alfred's room, she finally was able to retrieve her things but didn't have the opportunity to fix her looks first. Alfred was still mad and had just handed her things over. "ARIA!" Gavin shouted angrily. He was pissed that Aria seemed to be unbothered by his words. Aria looked at him with disgust and disbelief. "Why are you still here?" she asked, making her irate voice visible while darting her eyes from his toe to his head. This is her house. She spent her money on this house alone. She built this house way before their marriage. Aria couldn't believe how shameless her husband was. She looked at her husband thinking how he could act like he didn't cheat. Gavin stood by the room's door blocking Aria's way. "Let's talk." he gently grabbed Aria's shoulder, which made Aria jolt and made her abruptly brush his hands. Gavin can see how Aria is acting. He knows what he did was wrong. Well, it's not like he wanted that thing to happen. He loves Aria. He was only framed by his secretary because his secretary had been trying to seduce him. Gavin didn't really want things to turn this way. "Please, Aria." Gavin pleaded, holding Aria's hands. He's reaching her out. Aria was still angry and despised him even more. The thought of him being nice and faking sincerity was just to cover up his dirty and treacherous doings. "You disgust me." Aria shoved Gavin's hands. Gavin moved aside to let Aria rest in their room. He's thinking of letting Aria rest first before talking to her. He plans to explain everything. Gavin made his way to his study room where someone was already waiting for him. "So, where did she go last night?" Gavin asked the man who was wearing a long dark brown coat and thick-framed glasses. Gavin hired a detective to know where to find his wife had gone last night. The detective pulled a brown envelope from his suitcase and handed it to Gavin. Gavin took the envelope and pulled out several pictures of his wife being carried by a man who looked familiar to him, but he couldn't pinpoint who this man was because all of the pictures showed only the back of the man who was carrying his wife to the hotel. "Any leads?" Gavin asked the detective. "No sir. Unfortunately, I was blocked by some men. Maybe they were working with that man who carried your wife into the hotel," the detective uttered. The detective couldn't continue spying on Alfred and Aria at the hotel because Alfred's men were guarding the hotel. Gavin was frustrated with the idea that some man who is clearly powerful had taken a liking to his wife. The thought of his wife being touched by another man, made him fuel with anger. He angrily tossed the telephone on his table, which made a loud cracking sound after hitting the wall. "Leave!" he shouted, and the detective hurriedly left his study. ---------------------------- Aria couldn't forget how her husband's secretary clung to her husband's neck. The secretary was like a snake wrapping Gavin's body with her hands on Gavin's neck. She can still clearly remember how tight the secretary was sitting on Gavin's lap, it was like she was feeling Gavin's manhood in between her legs. Aria couldn't be angrier remembering the things that she had seen in her husband's office. She is disgusted. She felt betrayed. But she also feels disgusted with herself for also betraying her husband. She could feel how dirty her husband might look at her for having casual s*x with a stranger. Aria pulled herself up and left the bathtub to dry herself. She turned on the blower and blow-dried her long silky black hair that complimented her fair white skin. She looked at herself in the mirror. She has a fine complex. Her simplicity is not a hindrance to showing her beauty. "Look at you," Aria said while looking at herself in the mirror. "You are beautiful." She smiled for a second and was instantly replaced by a poker face, "but you got cheated on." The bitterness was evident from the words that she uttered. She continued drying her hair and moved on to her skincare routine after her hair had gone dry. Aria heard a knock on the door. She knows it was Gavin, though Gavin knocking on the door before entering is new to her. They are already married and privacy is not in their world. Aria didn't say a word and after a couple of minutes, Gavin opened the door and entered the bathroom. "Look, I don't want you to misinterpret things." Gavin calmly wraps his arm around Aria's shoulder. Aria could still feel the warmth of Gavin's touch despite being angry at him. His warmth brings peace and calmness to her and she just can't neglect it. Gavin couldn't take how beautiful his wife was even without makeup, her natural beauty radiated like the sun, shining and stunning. Gavin kissed Aria's head, his lips slowly wandering to Aria's neck, causing Aria to feel hot from the tingling sensation. Gavin gently sucked Aria's skin before kissing and repeating it again. Before his hands could travel from Aria's shoulders down to her hips, he was stopped by Aria. "Enough." Aria stood up and left Gavin in the bathroom. Gavin wanted to follow her and tell her already that it was not his fault, but he knew it would not be that simple. He knows that Aria won't easily believe him. He knows that it won't be easy for Aria to believe him because it won't be for him to believe Aria if Aria also says that what happened to her is a misunderstanding too, after spending the night in a hotel room with another man.
