Cameron sat on the couch in the living room. He had showed Lilly her room then left her to freshen up and get settled in. Being inside her again, touching and tasting her skin, had been far better than he remembered. His d**k already craving more, in any way that he could have her.
He pulled his phone out to waste time and saw a message from both Courtney and Aaron. He opened Aaron’s first to see he wanted to come over. Jaxon had just left, Cameron kicked him out in the morning because he wanted to be alone when Lilly arrived.
Suddenly, he realized she would easily attract the attention of both his friends. Not the mention the jealousy of Courtney who still refused to accept he wasn’t dating her. He had no idea how Lilly would react to the other female either.
Before he could figure anything out, someone knocked on his door. He thought it was odd until he remember he had locked it. He put away his phone and went to answer it. Courtney stood there in yoga shorts and a skin tight tank top that showed a clear view of her cleavage. Many men would love to have a woman like her, dressed the way she was, at their door but he wasn’t happy.
“Why are you here?”
“You didn’t answer my text so I thought I’d come by.” She blew a pink bubble with her gum and popped it with her teeth.
“I’m helping my roommate get settled.”
“I can help.” She smiled and pushed passed him. “Where is he?”
“She.” He clenched his teeth with annoyance and closed the door behind him. “Her name is Lilly and she’s in her room.”
Courtney spun quickly around to face him, a scowl on her features.
“You have a girl roommate?”
“That’s what I said, isn’t it?” He rolled his eyes.
“Didn’t you even consider how that would make me, your girlfriend, feel?” She whined.
“You’re not-”
“Hi.”
Lilly’s soft voice broke their conversation. Cameron glanced up as Courtney turned to have a look at his female roommate. A blush covered her cheeks and he suddenly realized she had heard Courtney say girlfriend.
“Oh. Hi.” Courtney responded curtly.
“I’m Lilly.” She added, unsure of what to say.
“Courtney, Cameron’s girlfriend.” She glared at Lilly.
“It’s nice to meet you, Courtney.” She smiled weakly. “It’ll be nice having another woman around. I was afraid I’d be stuck around all guys.” She giggled, trying to warm Courtney up.
And it worked.
“Yea..” Her tone changing. “Actually, that would be really nice.” She joined in with a giggle of her own. “The guys are usually ganging up on me and never want to do what I want to do.”
Cameron felt his stomach knot. This was not how today was supposed to go. He didn’t want Lilly thinking Courtney was his girlfriend and he sure as hell didn’t want them being friends either. Yet he was intrigued with how easily Lilly made people feel comfortable and like her in a matter of seconds. No matter the circumstances.
The guys were going to be head over heels for her. That put a frown on his face and he found himself heading to the kitchen for a beer while the two talked about their interests and plans for the weekend. He’d have to straighten things out with Lilly later.
His fingers made quick work of the cap on his bottle and he tipped it up to his mouth for a big swig. The door to the fridge stood open and as he peered inside, he realized they would need to get more food soon.
“Cameron!” Courtney shouted from the living room that was hardly 10 feet away.
“What?” He grumbled.
“Lilly agreed to go to that new club with me.” She came into the kitchen, a huge grin on her face and Lilly trailing behind her.
“No.” He clenched his teeth, his eyes shifting to Lilly.
No way in hell was he letting her go to a college club. It would be like sending a bunny into a pit of wolves; every man there would fight each other to eat her up.
“No? You’re not her dad.” Courtney gave him a weird look. “You can always come with, you know.” She rolled her eyes.
He groaned again. Drinking anywhere but at his place or a friends place wasn’t something he liked doing. Nor did he dance or enjoy the blaring music and cluttered bodies. Courtney had been pushing for him to go since she heard about it opening and he always told her no.
“Please, Cameron?” Lilly’s sweet voice filled his ears. “I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
While her tone was soft and angelic he knew her words were anything but. He took another swig of his beer to hide the heavy arousal that clouded his eyes. There was no way he could say no to her.
