Chapter Four

1038 Words
(Aurora's POV) The whole morning, the memories from last night played in my head. Tyler was so angry when he took me on our date, and I didn't hold his hand. I looked across the hallway and saw Titus. I hope I don't see him; I'm so embarrassed. Of course, he and his gorgeousness are here to distract me. I don't know what it is about him; I swear I'm already in love with him. I'm so confused about my feelings. I felt my phone ring when I got dressed. "Erin? What a present surprise you call me." I laughed. "Is everything okay?" "No, everything is not okay!" Erin said, "Everyone is here except for you." "Erin...are you drunk?" I asked her. "Hell yeah, I am!!! Now get that beautiful ass here, and come celebrate 18 years of me!!!" Erin said. I arrive at the party where Erin will be celebrating her 18th birthday; god, I don't know any of these people, and they do not look like they're in high school. I started at one couple kissing. The guy bought me, and I saw his eyes change. I better get ready for the party, or else I'll never hear the end of it from Erin. "His... His eyes, and did they just..." I backed away slowly, and I bumped into another person. "I'm so sorry." I rushed off to find Erin, and I showed up in a panic and gasping for air. "Whoa, Aurora! Are you okay?" Erin said. "Uh. Yeah. I'm okay." I hugged her. "Happy Birthday!" I said. I saw that Malia was giving me a stern, cold look. What was with her? "Thank you, but are you sure you are okay?" Erin asked me. "Yeah, I'm fine," I said "I'm going to get a drink." Malia rolled her eyes and walked off. Touchy, isn't she? "If you say so, I love that outfit you chose! I have good taste." Erin smiled. "Yeah, thanks for the help with the shopping; you're great," I said, thanking her. "I'm starting to like you. Titus!! Come over here for a bit." Erin shouted, Titus came over to us along with Jack; they were so drunk. "Wassup, sis," Titus said. "Sis!?" I said, shocked. "Yep, this is my twin brother Titus, and this is our party." Erin explained, "Next to him is Jack. He's mine. Boys, this is Aurora." "Hey, Aurora. How do you like our small town of Avalon?" Jack asked me. "Everyone is lovely at school. Very welcoming. I spoke. As for the town, I haven't seen everything yet." "Thank you, it would be an honor to show you around town," Erin said, offering a tour. "Really?!" "Yeah. Well, Jack and I are going to find a quiet spot. Have fun, you two." Erin winked at Titus and me. What is my sister planning? "Wait!" But she ran off with Jack before she could hear me. It was now just me, Titus, and many other people dancing around us. There was a long silence between us. His expression was blank; I couldn't read what he was thinking. His gaze burned as he started in my eyes. I was so scared to move; he was watching my every action. On his eyebrow, he had a scar. It doesn't look like a human scratch. Maybe an animal attack? "Hey, Titus." Said a woman in a slutty outfit. I got a better look at her, which turned out to be Sadie. "Do you want to dance?" Sadie flirted. "Yeah, let's go. I'll see you around, Aurora." Titus said as he took Sadie's hand and vanished into the crowd. "I need a drink," I spoke. I went to the kitchen and found Tyler talking to his friend. I finished the bottle of beer I got from the bar and placed it on the counter. "Tyler, we need to talk," I said. Tyler's friend left so we could talk in private. "Tyler, about the other night-- "Why don't we just put that all behind us?" Tyler said warmly, "As you say, it's too soon; let's just have a good night and get to know each other more." I smiled at him. "I would love that very much." "Good, here I got you a drink. Let us make a toast to a great night and wish Titus and Erin Happy Birthday." Tyler said. I took the drink with skepticism. I've seen too many crime shows to know where this is going. "Aurora, please trust me." "Okay!" I accepted the drinks he gave me and gulped them down. I coughed. "Ugh...Alcohol, I still haven't gotten used to it." Tyler and I laughed. Tyler and I began dancing. I started to shake my ass like a pole dancer. I have no idea what Tyler put in that drink, but I felt the buzz. I let go for once and have fun without sulking over everyone and everything. My parents would KILL ME if they saw me out here tonight. I could see Titus in the corner of my eye, and I don't know what came over me. "Wow. Erin can throw a party." I said to Tyler as he led me to someplace a little quieter. Things were getting noisy. "Thank you for tonight, Tyler. I enjoyed myself-- Soon, Tyler kissed me and pushed him back. "Tyler, what--" "Come, one baby, I know you want me." "I think we should get back to the party," I said. "Hell no. You've made me look weak and pathetic in front of the boys. Now I'm getting what I want, what I deserve." Tyler's voice got darker. "Tyler, we both had a lot to drink; let's just go back to the party," I told him. He was starting to get angry, and that was scaring me. "Were you not listening?! Ever since you moved to this school, the boys have looked you up and down. But you would never give them the time of day, including me. And I don't like being turned down. So, keep that pretty little mouth shut, and I promise I'll be gentle." "You will submit to me, little pup!" Tyler growled lowly. He pinned me to the wall, holding me by the neck.
