CHAPTER FIVE

As I was struggling to catch my breath, I saw a tall figure pull her away from me. It was Ronnie. He must have felt it. “Elsa, what do you think you are doing, " he asked offensively. “I want to end her once and for all,” she said, still fuming with anger. Her eyes were still glowing amber. The only thing stopping her from transforming was Ronnie. I knew she was hunting and I didn't blame her for her actions. Looking at the man you have been with taken away from you can make you do crazy things. “I will end her if I have to,” she said, coming close to me. Ronnie pushed her flying almost ten steps backward. This didn't make her calm down; she was still coming towards me. “Stop this madness, now or make you,” he said authoritatively. He sounded like his father. This tone was used when the park was out of order. “She is my mate and you cannot hurt her. We are one that means she dies and I die. We are looking for a way to solve this. Her expression was motionless. She just turned and left. I felt sad. Putting myself in her shoes I could feel the pain she was going through. I can never put myself in that situation. I also felt the sadness that Ronnie felt watching her leave. This made me feel sentimental. We could not just hear each other's thoughts but also feel each other's emotions. Truth be told Elsa was better than me in all things at my present status and I could expect him not to want something better. We both were left there all alone. I could only hold what I felt. Right after we became mates I felt drawn to him. I want to be in his arms with his hand across my body cuddling me. The more I tried to resist the stronger it became. Looking at him right now, my body was already with him but my brain was still in control. His broad chest and visible muscles were attractive. I could think of anything else. I will look at me and shift his gaze. I know he felt the same way. My desire to have him was becoming overwhelming. Just then one of the generals and some men came in. “The alpha requires your presence right now. You too,” he said looking at me. We entered the carriage. I couldn't take my eyes off Ronnie. He neither altered a word at all nor looked my way. After a while, we got to the castle and went straight into the chamber. The last time I was here, things didn't go well. I was afraid of what he would do to me this time. Stepping in it seemed like there was already something going on. All attention was on me. I was frightened but I felt a little glimpse of calmness in me. standing there looking at the furious alpha I skipped heartbeats. I was going to have a heart attack soon. The serheil was also summoned. “Have you gotten a solution to this madness,” he scornfully asked. My lord, I believe that there is always a way but fighting fate is like fighting nature. This had happened before in the past and do you know it ended? “ he asked with a slight smile and continued. You see, those who tried to fight fate met tragic ends and those who ran away went crazy. I am sure my lord that you don't want that for your son,” he paused to get an answer for him. “Then something should be done or I will kill her myself,” he said as he echoed round the hall. “If i were you i will look away and not dare make eye contact with him,” Ronnie told me using the mind link we shared. I lowered my gaze. “Why is all this happening to me now? Why can't I leave a life where I don't have to be rejected?” I asked myself. “Bring her here this instant” Davis instructed. But as one of them laid his hand on me, Ronnie sent him flying across the hall. Everybody present was in disbelief including the alpha himself couldn't believe the strength his son possessed. He was going to kill the other one if not for the sarheil’s intervention. “Hey, my boy. You need to breathe, no one is going to take her away from you,” he said with a calm reassurance on his face. At this point he was already turning, his eyes were already glowing and was filled with range. The aura I felt from him was overwhelming my own emotions. He patted heavily, returning back to his senses. “Now you see what I mean. The urge to protect his mate even without him knowing. The urge to be with each other will only get stronger and the more they fight against it the more they could lose their mind,” he said with his gaze fixed on the both of us. We weren't the first that tried to fight fate. Those who tried met tragic ends. They ran away thinking by being apart they would prevent what had happened but that wasn't true. The thought of the other overwhelmed them and little by little they lost their mind. To make things worse, they would die. At this point there was murmuring across the entire run. They sounded so loud that I could hear everything they were saying one after the other. “Does that mean she is the future luna of this pack?” some asked. Others said that I will corrupt the bloodline. my hearing was not what it used to be. Their voice kept echoing in my head that it began to drive me insane. I held my head trying to gain control but I couldn't. Stop! I shouted. My voice went across the entire room and immediately there was silence like that of a graveyard. Only the alpha possessed such authority. I felt so confident. Something I never thought I had and for the first time ever I wasn't afraid to express myself. “I never asked for all this”. I shouted looking at everybody to be sure that my point was clear. Images of his body came flying through my head. “To see him naked”. That next ultrance came and made a scene but I wasn't bothered. “I won't allow you to destroy what is left of my life,” I said but was interrupted by Ronnie's voice. “Your eyes,” he whispered. It's different from ours. it's red but how can this be?” he asked, holding my hands and making me spin. “Show me,” he said with his eyes full of expectation. “I can't. I don't know how,"I replied. This was the first time he held me. It could feel my urge for him getting stronger by the second. I wanted to rip him off his clothes. His strong arm wrapped around me tightly. According to what happened to us he should feel the same way. We stared at each other for a few seconds. “You must be different. Will you let me teach you? he asked. I nodded in response. The way he looked at me that moment, I could feel my heart racing. I was no longer sure about what I felt. I was lost in my own emotions. I could say for sure if I was happy or not.
