Leo’s POV
Amelia and I couldn’t have been asleep for more than a few minutes when all hell suddenly broke loose. Amelia suddenly awoke screaming “No! No! No!”, and I too felt something dreadful had just happened, only I was too groggy from sleep to understand why my lycan was whining softly in my head. I look over at the crib, and everything seems fine there.
Amelia hops out of the bed, grabs her bathrobe, and runs out of the room. I grab a pair of trousers and pull them on, going after her. I’m perplexed when I see the door to our family suite was wide open. I’m torn. Do I follow my mate, or stay with all the pups. I finally determine what to do, and turn around, shocked and surprised, to see just the person I was going to find standing in the hallway behind me.
