Another Not So Love Story

“It was the Friday before spring break, 2015, and I rode my longboard to the mall from my house in Everdale. My friend from elementary school said hi and said they would look after my board as I was in our local skate shop. I was looking at a leather jacket I have been wanting to get for a few months. As I walked out of the skate store I saw him. My heart stopped, or did it beat faster? It was like my heart was speeding up and slowing down at the same time. Tall, dark and fairly handsome and I wanted to know more about him. We were both quiet and shy at first. We all hung out for a bit and I tried to get him to ride my longboard, he fell off. It was a great day. After it all we all said our goodbyes and left for home.” My heart fluttered while telling my therapist. “Go on Delilah” he responded. “A few weeks later he added me on f*******: and we started to talk and get to know each other. We both loved Akira and in my opinion that is when it all finally started, like a ripple effect. We started dating a month after we met. April 24th, 2015. We had some hard times in the beginning with my dad and then my mom, and I wasn’t allowed to date anymore. That didn’t stop us. After a few months we fell deeply in love and had been together since. Yes we have had some hard times but we make it through them and I am happy that we did. I was engaged to him and we were waiting until after he turned 20 on August 13th to get married. I was going to let him pick the date. We were going to wait on children until we have our own house and both have stable jobs. I guess the moral of our story is never give up on the one you love because there is always the possibility that you will make it through the lemons life gives you. I think that I made the right decision with staying with him at the time and I wouldn’t of changed my life what so ever if it meant I would not be able to meet him and be with him. We had been together for a little over two and a half years and I am so glad that we had made it even remotely that far..” I paused. Now unable to speak. “That isn’t all is it? There is more to it. Isn’t there?” he looked up from his notes curiously. “No..” I was hesitant. “No.. that isn’t it.. That is what I merely thought at the time.. Even a few moments ago..I..I..” all of the sudden I couldn’t speak. My heart pounding faster. I couldn’t breathe and then.. Everything went black.
