Long Awaited Luna

Olyvia POV

“Ma’am, it’s time to wake up, we must prepare you to meet with the queen.” I hear Amanda say as I slowly wake up. “It will be simple today as the Queen wants to personally prepare you for the ceremony tonight.” I jolted up, remembering the Mating Ceremony, I rushed to the shower, “Give me fifteen minutes.” I say before shutting the door. I quickly wash myself before jumping out to dry and moisturize. Opening the door, I see a light blue floral dress laid out “Simple, the Queen has everything to prepare you for tonight in her suit. Dress and we can escort you to her.” Nicci says before walking out to allow me to dress. I pull the soft fabric over my body before sliding on a pair of white flats, relishing in the soft feel of the dress. Looking in the mirror, I take a deep breath. ‘Calm down and relax, it's meant to be.’ I hear Mia, whose excitement I can feel. ‘I never thanked you for finding our mate, I’m sorry I never believed you when you told me the truth.’ I replied feeling guilty for believing I was crazy. ‘It’s fine, now let’s go.’ Opening the door, I see Nicci waiting. “I’m ready when you are.” I tell her, following as she leads me through the winding halls to a room I haven’t seen labeled ‘Queen Luna’, Nicci knocks softly before leaving me as the Queen can be heard saying “Come in.”

“There is a lot to prepare you for, I know you are unsure of the traditions here so we will be going through everything for tonight, then you will be having classes with me until you are ready to become Queen in my place.” She tells me as she gestures for me to sit. “I’m ready to learn, thank you for taking the time to teach me.” I say smiling, I never believed I would be anything more than a hated daughter. Pushing back tears, I ask “Where do we start?”causing her to look at me with slight concern. “If you need to take a break or anything let me know, but we are going to start with the basics.” she says, gracefully sitting behind her desk before beginning today's lesson.

Jax POV

“What are you doing on the field son? You should be preparing for tonight.” I hear my father say as I break the third punching bag this morning. “I am next in line for Alpha King, I cannot skip training.” I respond, cleaning the mess made from the broken bag. “I understand, but go ahead and take the day. You’ve been in here for two hours and I’m sure your mate will be needing a break from your mom soon.” he tells me, I didn’t even realize I had been in here for that long. “Thank you.” I tell him before going to the kitchen. I quickly make two sandwiches for my mate and I before going in search of the two most important people in my life, my mom and my mate.

Finding them in the garden I approach, handing Olyvia the sandwich I made. “Here you go love, I figured you may be hungry.” I tell her, “Thank you, I was in need of some food.” she replies happily. “I will leave you two for now, Olyvia, please come see me once you are finished so we can prepare for tonight.” my mom tells us before parting. “I missed you, I didn't even realize the time.” I tell her, softly grabbing her hand to kiss her knuckles. “I missed you too, I’m learning a lot and it excites me. Though your mom has been giving me a strange look for a while now.” “Olyvia, you have been through a lot. On top of that being deprived of your werewolf history and training, it is astonishing that you are handling all of this well. Most never make it this long without actually going insane.You are special and everyone can tell, mom especially. Ask her for her story if you're curious.” I tell her gently, I cannot tell her my mom’s story as she is the one to rightfully tell it. 

Unknown POV

“She’s alive.” I tell my beta Xavier. He looks at me in shock, “How? She should have died or been found by our scouts within a year.” He responds in fear of my brewing anger. “Yes, she should have, if my beta would have assigned scouts out of the country!” I bellow at him, allowing my power to flow with my words causing him to fall to his knees. “I apologize Alpha.” is all he can say before my claws emerge and his head rolls across the room. ‘Xav, report to my office, and bring the maids to clean.’ I mindlink Xav, sitting down in anticipation. She cannot reach full power, she will be the reason for my downfall. “Come in.” I say as I hear Xav knocking, “You summoned me Alpha?” he says, his voice shaky but firm. “Congratulations, you have been promoted to beta. Find me a way into Olyvia Conti’s mating ceremony in Canada. You have two hours.” I command him before turning to my balcony ‘We will find her, she must be destroyed.’ Zane, my wolf, tells me. 

Olyvia POV

“Queen?” I ask as I enter her office, “Yes my daughter?” she responds kindly. “I’ve noticed you looking at me strangely, is there something wrong? I ask her, receiving a chuckle in response. “My daughter, you are special. Sit, I will tell you my story over tea.” I quickly sit in anticipation. “It started when I was a young child, I began having dreams of a tall beautiful woman in a glowing white dress. Her hair was beautiful as long with the rest of her, being long and white. At first I was afraid of the dreams, until she introduced herself. It was our Moon Goddess. She told me she had a gift for me that will be used to save our kind, and that I will not know of the gift until shortly before it arrives. About three days before your arrival I had another visit from her, telling me my gift is to assist the unknowing in finding her powers and mate. Once I met you I knew that you and my son were mates, as well as feeling the immense power coming from you I knew that you are the one. The day you become Luna will be the day you receive your powers, and I will become your teacher.” she tells, astonishing me as how my life has been playing out recently. “Come, we must prepare for tonight.” She says standing, gesturing for me to follow.
