Chapter 21: Playful days (Part 4)

Moving with only one goal. Meily with her newly awakened power go back to Elesis fort for her revenge. While walking toward the fort. Her memories from the past unfold.

Four years ago, before Meily and her mother came to Elesis fort. Meily is living an ordinary life as a kid. Playing until her clothes are covered by mud going outside meeting friends. Just like any other kid, Meily has an innocent smile on her face.
“Meily, let’s play again later.”
Said one of her playmates and wave her hand to Meily.
“Okay, let’s just meet here in the playground tomorrow.”
Meily replied.
Then, the parents of her playmates hold the hands of their children and leave the playground with a smiling face.
Looking at those families, Meily started to feel jealous.
Jealous because her family is not complete. She doesn’t have a father like everybody. Meily’s mother is always working hard and nearly never played with Meily.
“Good for them…”
Meily muttered.
Meily then kicks a small stone until she arrived home.
Opening the door of the house, She saw her mother talking to a man she doesn’t know. As a little kid, Meily doesn’t know anything about adult relationships.
“Mother, who is that man?”
Meily asked innocently.
“It’s just my friend. You must be tried you should go back to your room and rest.”
“But I’m hungry.”
“I will wake you up when the food is ready.”
Meily then turned her back and go upstairs.
Before she left Meily turned her glance to her mother. She saw both of them started kissing each other and hugging each other.
Afraid to know what's going on Meily decided to just rest and lay on her bed. Meily gets her stuff toy and started talking to it.
“Why mother is kissing another man? Last time I saw her doing the same thing to another man.”
On the other side of the room, Meily heard a slamming sound to the bed.
“You're rushing me.”
“I can’t endure it anymore, I want to put this inside you.”
“It’s big… Ah~”
Meily then looks in the small hole that connects her room and her mother's room. She then saw the man kissing her mother earlier on her mother's top and naked. Her mother making weird expressions. Sounds of lovemaking were heard. Meily didn’t want to understand what’s going on and decided to go back to her bed and cover her ears.
That night passed and the food her mother promised never arrived.
The morning came and the man is about to leave. The man seems to be a knight and about to go off to work.
“Here’s my payment, I also put some extra on it.”
The man then gives Lainy a small bag of gold coins.
“Thank you so much. I’m waiting for you again.”
The knight blushed and kiss Lainy before he finally leaves.
“Is that man my father?”
I asked.
“Meily… He is not your father.”
“Then, why you're kissing him?”
“It’s hard to understand but it just works… Because of those men’s we can pay rent in this house, buy food, buy clothes that we want, etc. I don’t really love them. The only man I love is your father.”
“Then, where's my father?”
“Well… That’s a story for another time. Let’s just have a fulfilling breakfast.”
Her mother replied.
I don’t really understand her work, but I know Mother is doing her best to take care of me. Since my father is not around, my mother is always working to buy my needs.
After eating breakfast Meily goes back to the playground to play with her friends.
While playing with her friends one male kid suddenly appeared and push Meily to the ground.
“Whats you're problem?”
Asked Meily.
“My mother is crying because your mother stole my father.”
“Stole? You’re lying! Mother said that she only love my father. There’s no way she will do that. Don’t accuse my mother in baseless rumors.”
“Your mother is a p********e. Of course, she will do that because your mother is a p********e. Your mother is selling her own body for money. It can’t be helped the only good thing in both of you is your faces.”
“Take back what you said.”
“Well, you also have a cute face. Maybe your going to became a p********e too aren’t you. Then, you should practice by becoming my woman.”
The kid then holds Meily’s arms and started pulling her.
“Stop what are you doing!”
“p********e like doing kinky stuff. I wonder what happened if I do this to you.”
The kid put his hand to Meily’s chest and start rubbing it.
Meily can’t endure it anymore and fight back by punch the kid on his face.
The kid fell to the ground.
Meily with an angered face walked toward him and started punching him non-stop. Her fist started to have blood on it and the kids around her started to cry. Other kids run away because of fear.
“Apologize to my mother!”
Meily screams and punches the kid's face.
The knight in patrol saw the happening and stop the fight.
Meily was brought home by the same knight that leave their house earlier.
“I’m very sorry Lainy, my kid did something wrong to Meily. It’s my fault. My wife finds out what happened last night. Please forgive me, if you wanted I wanted to divorce my current wife and marry you.”
Said the knight.
Lainy turned her glance away and with a sad expression she said:
“I’m sorry…”
“Why not? You said you love me last night.”
“Sorry…”
Seeing Lainy’s expression the knight realized that it’s just a lie. The knight leaves with a depressed expression on his face.
“Mother, is it true that you’re a p********e?”
Asked Meily.
Meily pulls her mother's sleeves.
Her mother stays silent and looks at her child's face. She then knees down and hugged Meily tightly.
“I’m sorry…”
“Why apologize? You are just trying your best in work.”
“I’m sorry…”
I don’t understand, why my mother is crying and saying sorry to me.
“Mother will get another job. A decent job. I don’t like seeing you fight someone because of me. Next time you will be proud of me as your mother. I promise not to it again.”
Meily hugged her mother back after hearing her words.
On the next day, mother wake up early to find a new job. She is in high spirits and very energetic.
After breakfast, I go back to the playground and no one want’s to play with me anymore.
“It’s the child of that bitch.”
“Your mother is a lewd person, maybe she is also lewd. The new is spreading in the whole city.”
“When Mars rubs her chest yesterday she is blushing. She is really like her mother.”
“We don’t like to play with a lewd kid like you.”
They said and leave Meily.
“I thought we’re friends. I see, it’s just in my imagination.”
Meily whispered.
While walking on the streets. People started staring at her and he hears gossips about her mother.
“That little girl's mother is currently searching for a job.”
“What kind of job woman like her can do. She’s only good in bed.”
“Don’t say it out loud. Her kid is staring.”
“Who cares about that? She should know that her mother s a good for nothing.”
“I feel pity for that little girl.”
“Being rise by that kind of woman. She really has a tough life.”
After hearing those gossips. Meily runs back home and as she opens their door. She saw the knight and her mother fighting. The knight is forcing Meily’s mother to get naked. Seeing her mother in that state. Meily immediately gets a kitchen knife and stabs the knight’s stomach.
“It’s your fault and those adults' fault.”
“Meily let's run away before somebody find out about this.”
Lainy gets Maily. They packed their things immediately and escape the city.
Seeing those blood Lainy knows that it’s vital. That knight is near his death door.
Running away from the city is the only way for them to live in peace.
They start traveling and go far away from the city of their origin.
While Travelling Lainy started to have a problem financially. The money they have is not enough for both of them. While riding the train Leiny thought about what she can do to survive with her child. Looking at Meily’s cute sleeping face she combs her hair using her fingers.
“You really look like me. I’m sorry I lie. I don’t really know you're father's identity. Maybe those people are right. I’m just a good-for-nothing woman. Whose only good in bed. The only thing good about me is my face and nothing more. I’m really sorry that I’m like this.”
Lainy said in low toned voice.
The train stops and they arrived in Elesis fort.
Elesis fort is located on the edge southern part of the country and it’s very far away from its origin city. Living in this city might open a new life for Lainy and Meily.
Being a stranger and have not enough money. There is no Inn accepting Lainy and her child.
“Just for one night. Please I’m begging you.”
“Nope bussiness, is bussiness. Other people can pay the fee in full price.”
The owner of the Inn then slams the door.
“Mother…”
Meily was worried and turn her glance to her mother.
“Don’t worry mother will find a way.”
Lainy and Meily then go to the Elesis fort adventurer guild. The guild is also a restaurant-bar at night. Lainy bought dinner only for Meily at that time.
“Mother how about you?”
Asked Meily.
“Don’t worry about me. Seeing you happy make me satisfied.”
Meily gets a piece of bread from her plate and then gives it to her mother.
The mother was surprised and happy about what Meily did.
Meily then makes an innocent smile.
“Your such a good girl.”
Time passed and Meily fell asleep at the table. Still in the adventurer guild. Lainy can’t do anything, without a decent amount of money they can’t sleep in bed with her child. The money left in her pocket is only enough for food.
Behind Lainy a man that seems to be an adventurer appeared. He wears decent armor and looks a bit depressed.
The man then talked to Lainy.
“Why you're child is sleeping in a guild? It’s noisy here especially when night comes. Your child’s sleep will be disturb.”
“Well…”
“I get it, you don’t have money. Well, you travel with your child without a decent amount of money, it’s normal that you're going to suffer. Then why did you travel? Are searching for your lover? That guy is very lucky. Despite your age, I can say that your such a cutie. Your face and body look like someone in her teens.”
“It’s nothing like that… I have a problem with money. I can do anything just to have money. I don’t want my child to be in this state.”
Lainy started to beg the adventurer.
“Anything... My lover just broke up with me and I’m depressed. I wanted to forget about her can you help me.”
“You mean…”
Lainy and the adventurer then left for a moment.
After half an hour, Meily woke up and find herself in bed. She then looks for her mother.
“The little girl is awake. Are you fine?”
Asked the guild master that happened to be Captain Yuri.
“Where is my mother?!”
“You're Mother?”
“My mother!”
Captain Yuri then escorts her back in the guildhall. There her mother is waiting. Meily run toward her mother and hugged her.
“I thought you're gone.”
“I will always be on your side.”
Then looking behind her mother is the adventurer. The adventurer gives money to her mother. Her mother bows her head and thanks to the adventurer.
“That was great… I feel like I’m really going to forget about my lover. See you.”
“Mother, who’s that person?”
“I’m sorry Meily… Mother can’t keep her promise. But with this money, we can start a new life in this city.”
Even without telling. Meily knew what her mother is talking about. Meily is disappointed in her mother but at the same time, she was touched by her sacrifice.
They started renting a house and have a new life. Lainy got a new job and started working in a tailoring shop. Meily’s life started to go back to peace. But reality bites them down when her mother suddenly started coughing blood. Her mother became sick with an unknown disease and able to go back to work.
Meily brings her mother to the doctor.
“My mother is sick can you help us!”
The doctor look toward her mother and said:
“Do you have money?”
“I only have a few.”
Meily replied.
“Well, that’s not enough.”
“Not enough, my mother is dying right now help her. That you’re job right?!”
“Without any payment, I can’t do anything.”
That is the moment, Meily started to hate every adult she saw except her mother.
“Stupid adults.”
“I heard you the new settlers here. Your mother is really good in bed. Where did that money she earns go?”
“Stupid adults!”
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! All these grown-ups are stupid. They can’t help people without asking for a return.
Meily then started working hard for her mother's sake. She really loves her mother from the bottom of her heart. Even her mother does things she doesn’t like sometimes. Her mother did her best for her.

Now that her mother is dead. Meily’s anger toward the adults that bad mouth her mother became bigger. These negative emotions became the main source of her new power.
“I will kill those stupid adults. I will kill them all.”
Said Meily.
The sun is supposed to rise but the darkness enveloped the whole of Elesis fort.
Eriko cast a barrier for her experiment to start.
