Chapter 10: Teammates

“That sinister aura belongs to this man.”
Said Retto and take a closer look at the man he cut.
Even with only his upper half body. The man tried to get up and look toward Retto.
“Knight? Not only that, you have a lean muscular body and a face that is more good-looking than me.”
“What is your point?”
The man started to get rage and shouted:
“I hate when a man who is better than me appeared. I’m not likable, like you, and not handsome. I’m not good at anything. I’m a fatty ugly man and having a lover is impossible for me.”
Retto looks at the man calmly and replied:
“Me? Good looking? I never think that honestly, but I agree that I’m more good-looking than you.”
Kuroe turns her glance to Retto and warned him.
“Than man has a regenerative ability and power boost. Please stay careful in your every action.”
After warning Retto. Retto cuts the cape behind his armor and covers it toward Kuroe’s naked body.
“Your body is distracting me, I can’t focus.”
Said Retto. Upon, hearing Retto’s low-toned voice. Kuroe blushed in embarrassment and stay still.
The man gets more enraged and regenerates his lower part of the body.
“That flirting! I hate seeing that! I hate it! You will cut you down and r**e that cute girl in front of you.”
The man once again turned in his giant form and charge toward Retto like a bull. Retto makes a stance and swings his sword vertically. The man avoided the sword by jumping toward the ceiling at high speed.
“Rubber magic: Hell bounce!”
The man started bouncing around the area like a rubber ball.
“... With this speed there is no way you can keep up.”
Retto then makes a little sigh and puts his sword in his front. He makes a stance and calmly closes his eyes.
Gathering some mana around him Retto activated his detection skill and focus his inner focus.
Behind Retto, the man in high speed came and his hand turns into a giant drill.
“This is the end!”
Said the man.
“Mister Knight!”
Kuroe was very worried about Retto.
Retto quickly swings his sword covered in pure mana and slashed cut’s the man’s heart.
Sword skill: Quick s***h.
“My sword covered in mana is the strongest in the whole kingdom. Even a man with regenerative ability will never able to defeat it.”
“That sword movement, you're that knight, The one who acquired the title of knights of knights.”
The man fell to the ground and die.
Kuroe didn’t even see the happening because of its speed but she is happy that Retto can save him. Looking at Retto’s back Kuroe’s heart started to make a loud beat. Her face started to become hot.
“This man is one of the rebels. Some people outside of the kingdom really have interest in the power this dungeon hold.”
Retto said while he examines the body of the man he killed.
“Ummm… Mister knight.”
Kuroe stand up and called Retto.
“I would like to say thank you. Thank you for saving our lives.”
“You’re welcome.”
Retto replied.
“Are you also in pursuit of the power this dungeon holds?”
“That’s my main goal.”
“Then we are the same, but don’t think of me as an enemy, we just want it because obtaining it might make our life easier. Now that we are defeat by some random man. I feel like capturing this dungeon is impossible for us.”
“Then go home.”
“Well, that a bit impossible for us right now. Then can we join you for a while?”
“I don’t like burdens.”
“I promise not to be a burden. I just want to know you better. Well, you save me and I wanted to return the favor. Also, I’m quite powerful you know. I’m an S-rank adventurer in our local guild.”
We’re currently in a deep level of the dungeon. This dungeon is very unpredictable and very dangerous for these two girls.
Retto turn his back toward Kuroe and said:
“Then, you can join my party for now. Until I capture this dungeon. I will never gonna prioritize you and your friend's safety. You can do what you want.”
Said Retto.
“That’s some rude words from a man that just save me. Then what is your name?”
“Retto the swordsman.”
“I’m Hashimoto Kuroe, this slender girl is Lumina.”
Retto carries the unconscious body of Lumina.
“I wish I’m the one unconscious.”
Whispered Kuroe.
Retto then goes back to their base.
Inside the dungeon Retto and Mayu made a base camp full of trap surrounding it. The base camp is made of different materials like the skin of the coral blue serpent Mayu defeated and traps with the poison of viper.
Kuroe was at loss after seeing the weird-looking base camp.
“I never saw this many traps surrounding the base.”
“We’re out of people, normally in the dungeon raid adventurers takes a turn in guarding the base camp. I just have one midget companion. I can’t really rely on her. That’s why we build this many traps to ensure our safety while sleeping.”
“A companion? Midget?”
They entered the base camp and Retto place Lumina in the pile of soft thick moss and stand up and make some drink for Kuroe.
“My companion is not here yet. I guess she is fighting a monster.”
“You still look so calm knowing your companion is in danger. Let me help you in making some tea.”
Kuroe came closer to Retto and get some tea leaves. Retto stays still and sits down on the ground.
After done making the tea, Kuroe pours it into the cup and gets ready to serve it.
“It’s done.”
While walking toward Retto. Kuroe slips and fell to Retto. The cape Retto give to her earlier happened to be removed. Kuroe accidentally hugged Retto with her naked body.
That moment the little elf arrived and look toward Retto like she is looking at trash.
“I see you didn’t like Sophia because you preferred little girls. Retto you're a pervert.”
Mayu said.

After few moments.
Kuroe explains the happening to Mayu. Mayu believes in everything she said. Mayu even makes some clothes for Kuroe to wear. Meanwhile, Retto who looks dejected behaves himself in the corner of the camp.
“Sorry Retto for saying those words. I’m just shocked seeing this cute girl on your top.”
“Don’t worry, I don’t really mind.”
“Then why your so silent.”
“I’m always like this.”
“Well, you're right about that. Then, moving on… Kuroe your here to capture the dungeon too.”
Mayu asked.
“That’s right, but we are so arrogant earlier. We lost to a bandit and nearly lost my pure self. I’m very thankful to Retto-san for saving me. Also, I followed Retto-san to know him more.”
Kuroe said and turned her glance to Retto while blushing.
Mayu look at Kuroe’s maiden in love expression and whispered.
“You like Retto?”
“Ummm... Yup… He is very cool back then.”
“I see you fell in love with him.”
I didn’t think Retto-san is this popular with girls. Well, Retto is a bit cute. But not as handsome in male celebrity I saw on television while I’m in Japan.
That makes me remember something.
“You're name is Hashimoto Kuroe?”
“That’s my name.”
“Well, that Hashimoto feels like a weird name for a fantasy world.”
“Many people say it’s weird. Even I don’t know what it means.”
Said Kuroe.
“Then you're planning is to join our journey in capturing the dungeon.”
“Yes, I promise that I will never be a burden to you.”
Kuroe immediately responded.
I don’t know if she really wants to capture the dungeon or spend time with Retto. Sophia and this Kuroe like Retto but Retto like the princess. I feel bad for these two cute girls.

At that time Mayu, Retto, Kuroe, and Lumina are formed as teammates to capture the crystal dungeon.

Meanwhile, in the deep level of the dungeon. A beautiful palace. Inside this place is five blue-haired creatures that resemble human are having dinner.
Vanessa, Leo, Corona, Fana, and Medrat. Are creatures born with magical pressure inside the crystal dungeon? Like humans, they obtain intelligence and are born with natural talent in using mana.
“Three demons, some bunch of adventurers. This is bad, I more time for preparation. I need to exterminate these rats in my palace.”
Said Corona.
“Crystal dungeon is one of the most complex dungeons. Exploring this dungeon takes years.”
Said Fana.
“Many adventurers already explore this dungeon the moment it appeared.”
“But no one reaches this level yet. I feel pitiful to those people who think they can capture this place… ”
Said Leo in a playful tone. He then gets one of the monster meat and started biting it with pleasure.
After taking a sip of his drink. Medrat stands up and gets ready to leave.
“Where are you going Medrat?”
Asked Corona.
“I’m going to play, Maybe there are cute girl adventurers I want to mate with tonight.”
Replied with a slightly bored tone.
“You never change.”
Muttered Vanessa.
Medrat leaves the palace and teleported using a spacial gate.
Upon entering the gate Medrat was transported to the higher level of the dungeon and there this pretty woman appeared. She has horns and hair that reach her shoulder. Her eyes are scarlet red and she has a giant jaw blade as a weapon.
“I’m so lucky I already saw a maiden I wanted to mate tonight.”
Medrat said.
The demon girl lifts her giant blade and cuts Medrat’s torso.
Medrat quickly regenerates and talks.
“Is that how demons greet others?”
“A high-speed regeneration. I’m thankful for the battle you.”
The demon girl eye’s started to glow red and excitement runs through her veins.
“Who are you?”
“I’m the current demon lord. Be happy because I’m your opponent.”
Seeing these blood-lusting eyes, Medrat started to trembles.
