Chapter 38: Meeting the heroes

Days of training have passed and the day we need to say our farewell to the townspeople and the leader came.
“I’m very sorry we didn’t meet your expectation in having a powerful magic sword, but let me offer this as a token of our gratitude for saving the people from the demons.”
The leader hand over a stone. It’s an oval red stone and looks very expensive.
Akane looks at the sunlight.
“This is pretty.”
“That is a magic stone of life. It can revive the owner in a short amount of time. The stone must be activated the moment owner dies or else it won’t work. It will be useful to the adventurers like you.”
“It can revive? Is it okay to have this?”
“Yes, most of the people here are not adventurers like you two.”
Then before we leave the town a man came running toward us.
Looking closely at his tired exhausted face Akane and I immediately recognized him.
It’s the shut-in Blacksmith.
I wonder why he came here, did he came here to fight Akane again.
In his hand is a sword. Looking at its sharp and sparkling blade I can say that it was newly forged.
“I pour my heart into creating this one, this time I’m going to break your sword.”
Lucas said as he pointed his sword to Akane.
Akane makes a sigh and draws her sword. This time she gets her blue sword instead of the red one.
“Let’s make it fast… Mayu still needs to report to the castle.”
“I finish this fast.”
Both of them then make a sword stance and then in one second they both swing their sword and clash.
“Gravity s***h!”
Akane cut down the newly forge sword and defeated Lucas again.
“Even though you make a new sword, that doesn’t mean you can defeat me. Sword is always connected to the user. I who have many experiences in sword make my sword more powerful. Did you get it? Level one adventurer will never gonna defeat a level, 100 adventurers.”
She then put her sword back to its sheath.
Akane gives up on putting her sword in my inventory because I’m always not with her. It will be trouble for her if she won't have a weapon in unexpected danger.
Lucas has a face of a loser on him.
I feel pity for him.
We then make our real farewell o the people in the town that help us while we’re staying.
I did learn a lot in magic too. I learn magic solidifying and armament.
This will become handy in my future fights.
Akane and I then fly toward the city of Grandellia also know as the capital city.
Well, the day has come. I decided to go and join the expedition and know the heroes of this country.
Arriving in the city we go to the guild and there Akane and I decided to separate our ways.
“I already decided to join a raid in the dragon nest and return stronger than anyone. After this let's make a party Mayu and have a lot of adventurers.”
I nodded and reply.
“I’ll wait for your return…”
Akane then joins the raid team and then our path was separated. I then go toward the castle to report to the king.
I can see the castle from afar, but I never made it yet. That castle must be really huge one.
Expected from royalties.
Then this is the day I will meet the heroes I wonder what they look like. Maybe they look like super cool heroes like in anime and novels. This is a fantasy that means the hero is a handsome prince that has a sword.
Well, I’m really a fan of those tropes.
I like reading novels with weird stuff on them. Like a story about a girl that got forgotten every week because of some kind of supernatural event. I also like high concept novels with action on it. Like Artificial intelligence trapped in virtual reality and they got a war with humans.
Honestly, I’m craving that stuff right now.
I want to read some novels.
From the sky, a book fell to my head.
“Ouch!”
I then pick up the book that fell from the sky.
When I look at it the cover immediately caught my attention.
“This this… T-This is a light novel!”
I immediately know it because it has a very long title written in Kanji and this is definitely Japanese characters.
“This novel is spice and wolf… This is a classic.”
After that, a girl from the sky fell to me.
“Whaaaaa--!!”
I don’t have time to react and let the girl crashes toward me. I lost my consciousness after that.
Opening my eye’s I found myself in a room that is very unfamiliar to me. This room looks simple and very clean.
That last thing I remember is the light novel and the girl falling to my head.
Well, it’s a good thing that I already master maintaining my transformation magic. Even though I lost my consciousness I still maintain my appearance. What will happened to me if somebody finds out that I’m an elf.
This city is known for its anger for elves.
“You’re already awake.”
A boy enters the room.
“Huh? Where I am?”
“You’re in the vacant room located in the castle of Grandellia. My name is Yamauchi Yoshiaki I’m a classmate of the clumsy girl that falls to your head. Hey, Yuko came over here and apologize to this girl.”
A girl then enters the room with a worried expression on her face.
“I’m very sorry for the incident earlier. I’m still training flying with a broom. I lost my balance when my book falls from my bag. I’m very sorry.”
She said and bow down her head.
Wait, does that means this girl is the owner of that light novel?
“Both of you are Japanese aren’t you?”
They are both surprised and then look at me.
“Yes, I’m Japanese my name is Matsui Yuko.”
Tears came flowing to my eyes and then I hug them.
“What?! So sudden!”
“You’re hugging us tightly, we can’t breathe.”
I’m so happy that I met another pure Japanese like me in this world. That means I’m not alone in my fight in this world.
After that, I explain to them my situation and how I reincarnated in this world.
Still, this is unfair. These people live like royalty in this castle while I started in that dangerous dungeon paranoid of the monsters.
Yuko gets tea and a snack for me.
“To think there are other Japanese transported in this world besides us is amazing. Seems like a light novel.”
Yuko said and laugh.
Honestly, this feels like a fantasy novel. I can’t believe I’m inside of this world.
Then I notice the book that falls from the sky.
“This is a light novel right?”
“Yup, this is my light novel.”
“How did you get it?”
“It’s my unique ability called publishing.”
What kind of ability is that?
According to Yuko Unique ability: Publishing enables the user to create a book. The book must exist in any universe. As long as the user declares the title and it exists it will be created.
This ability is really weird but it’s so good.
“Yuko give me the volumes of ‘Tomorrow, I Will Die. You Will Revive' I'm still finished reading that in our world. I want to know what happened to the protagonist and the heroine."
I then grabbed Yuko's shoulder and force my face on her.
"You're so close... Okay okay, I will create it for you, but since it's from another world. It will take lots of magic I'm able to create only one for this day."
"Okay give me the second volume."
"Okay okay, I'll do but first introduce your name."
"Sorry, I forgot I got excited about the novels. My name is Hayami Mayu. Nice to meet you."
A maid then enter the room and talked to Yuko and Yoshiaki.
Seems like they're talking about something very important.
Yuko turned her head to me and say:
"Sorry, Mayu but we have to attend the party in the hall. Apparently, the king has something to say to us before we leave this city."
"Leave this city? Are you perhaps going to training in the high magic zone?"
"How did you know about that?"
Yoshiaki asked.
I then get the ticket and wave it in the air.
Then seems to know what that ticket means and then smiled.
They allow me to come with them to the party. This party is held for the beginning of the expedition. The heroes group will be divided into five groups and will travel in a different high magic zone. My ticket is for the group that will have an expedition to world tree island.
The heroes will stay in that high magic zone until they reach level 60 and became powerful.
In other words, they will travel to grind levels.
I want to use my status check on these people but some scary-looking people that look insanely strong are strangely staring at me.
They might think I'm some kind of spy if I use it here. That's why I didn't use my status check to see their stats.

It said that they have a teacher here but apparently that teacher was in another village planting vegetables according to Yuko.
Still seeing this many people from another world like me feels not lonely anymore.
There was a Korean and American in the group. Looks like Japanese is not the only one that came be reincarnated in another world.
I always thinking why the Japanese are the only people getting reincarnated in another world in light novels. Looks like it's not true at all. Anyone can be reincarnated in another world.
I take a drink in my juice and enjoy the party.
The party is lively and people are enjoying it. I really feel like I'm some kind of outsider right now.
While I'm standing behaving myself in the side. I saw Keele and Blaze.
They are said to be some of the most powerful adventurers. It's expected that they are here. Maybe they will be assisting the heroes.
"The king has arrived!"
Everyone heard the announcement and pay attention to the king's presence.
