CHAPTER SIX

Caroline POV

I'm sitting on the bed listening intently to Liz when what she says catches me off guard. I see her staring at my face trying to gouge out my reaction. But I'm completely dumbfounded. I look back at her and see written all over her face she wants me to accept there chosen bond. Hell NO! I feel Myia come forward with me and she is just as livid as I am when I see fear flash through Liz's eyes. She has only seen me mad a few times when Myia and I become one but never at her. I force Myia down when I look at Liz and see she is visibly shaking like I leaf. I reign Myia and my anger back in, trying to remain calm. "Why do you want him as your chosen mate? Your mate is still out there and may very well be in another pack!" I yell. She goes to speak "He loves me Caroline, he said he wants to be with me." I see tears in her eyes and she is silently begging me to support her decision. "I can't and I won't support this Liz, he is using you! Why can't you see that? He just wants to use you and then dump you like he does every other she wolf in this pack! You know it as well as I know it. So don't sit there and tell me you love him and he loves you because we both know it's a whole bunch of f*****g shit.!!! He doesn't care about anyone but himself. How does Lex even feel about you accepting him, when he isn't even your mate?" She looks away from me then and as I figured Lex doesn't approve of it either. Go figure. Liz steps forward to try to touch me when I back up. I can see the hurt in her eyes but I don't care. She needs to see that I will not support the decision of her turning her back on her mate.

"You need to leave, I dont want to look at you right now". I tell her as I go to walk towards my bedroom door and open it for her. She walks past me and stops at my doorway when she tells me "I really do love him" I scoff at her words and before I close my bedroom door on her I tell her "If and when he turns his back on you, don't come back crying to me when he is done using you. Because you know

as well as I know, that you are to good for him and that you deserve better" and with that I close my bedroom door and lock it.

I walk to my bedroom window and sit down on my love seat and look out to the sky. I so didn't wanna come back home to more drama. I lay my head back on the headrest and just close my eyes. Trying to relax.

The next morning I wake up to a knock on my door. What the hell? I go to sit up when I'm stiff as a board realizing I fell asleep on the love seat. Ugh! My neck! The knocking continues when events from last night rush forward. Awe hell. So I get up to go answer the door.

"What is it?" I all but yell as I open the door. Realizing it's my mom who was knocking. She looked at me all puzzled. "Sorry mom". "You girls slept through lunch. What time did yall finally go to bed?" She says as she looks around. I wait for her to notice when she ask "Where's Liz?" she looks at me expectantly. "She left last night because she started her period and I don't have any tampons, so she went home." I smoothly lie. Don't get me wrong I love my mom to death but telling her about Liz just don't feel right. Even though I'm still super pissed at her. "Okay, well the Ceremony will start at eight" She says as she walks away.

Shit, the Ceremony is today. I go to my closet and pull on a sports bra and workout shorts and the go to my bathroom to throw my hair in a messy bun, to wash my face and brush my teeth. As I'm wiping my mouth getting ready to head out to try and get a few hours in the gym when I feel someone trying to mindlink. So I open it and it's Craig. "Where are you?" He asks. "Getting ready to leave the house to go to the gym to get a few hours in before your Ceremony " I link back. "Good, meet you there in ten." and he cuts the link. Oh great. I walk into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water out the fridge and an apple off the counter and make my way to the pack house gym.

It's a good thing the pack house is only a five minute walk from our house. As I make my way up the steps and open the door to head inside to make my way down the hall when I stop in my tracks when I hear a familiar scream. I turn to look back and I see Liz arguing with Lewey. Lewey grabs her arm roughly and shoves her in his office and slams his door closed three doors down. It doesn't matter how mad i am at her, he shouldn't have manhandled her the way that he did, especially when they are going to be mates come later this evening. So me being me I turn around back towards his office door to try to hear there conversation.

As I near his door I hear Liz scream at him, "Your such a f*****g liar, and I was so stupid to think that you would love me. To think that I was gonna give up on my mate for you. Your a sorry excuse of a man and I hope your mate rejects you when she finds out what a w***e you really ar-"... When I hear a 'SMACK' through the door followed my a 'THUMP' and hear furniture scraping across the floor and lamps falling. I don't know what happened but I snapped and Myia came forward with me when we seen red. For my very own f*****g brother to think he can put his hands on her when I grabbed the door handle to find it was locked. I lost all reason of thought and kicked the damn door down with my foot to see that I broke it off its hinges and the frame was splintered from the force I used.
