CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Craig's POV

I'm listening intently to my mom finish telling the children's story. "Myia is the wolf in the children's story". I point out when Logan speaks up. "Ryker's Wolf's name is Zane". I look up to Logan and then my parents when I get hit with a searing pain in my chest and I felt a tether to the pack break. I immediately stand up and when I do, I double over with another searing pain to my chest from another tether breaking. "Son, what is it?" I hear my father speak. I see worry in his eyes and I grit out through clenched teeth "Two pack members' tethers just snapped" when I feel Tobias whinning in my head. "Now you come forward" I tell my wolf. When I get a link from one of my warriors on border control "Alpha, Lewey and someone else is at the southern borde-" he says when I feel two more tethers snap. I growl in rage and Tobias comes forward with me. "f*****g LEWEY!!!" I screamed as I dashed out my office and through the pack house doors and immediately shifted into my wolf shredding my clothes and headed for the southern border when I see my father on my left flank and see a grayish white wolf on my right flank. Figuring it is Logan and his wolf. As I near the southern border, what I see next stops me in my tracks when I see Alpha Romero and Lewey both attack another warrior and both effectively and effortly rip him apart. "STAND DOWN!" I roar through the packs link when my warriors had them surrounded. I immediately shift back not bothered that I'm naked when I felt the next tether snap. I put my hand over my chest and growl real loud when Lewey and Alpha Romero both look up at me covered in blood.

"What is the meaning of this brother?" I ask looking at Lewey when he smirks at me. "Does it hurt brother? To feel their tethers snap?" He snides at me as I growl out at him, watching as he and that piece of s**t Alpha step closer to the edge of my border. My warriors standing at the ready. My father shift back and speaks "Lewey come back with us, we can talk about this.." when Lewey cracks his head to the side and looks dead at our father then let's out a deranged laugh. "I believe he has lost it" Tobias speaks up. I shake him from my thoughts when Lewey speaks up. "What so yall can throw me in the dungeon again? Or maybe allow another pack member to disrespect me and get away with it?..Or how about so you can punish me for killing those worthless warriors. OH I KNOW!!! Maybe for killing my goddess given mate? Huh? Yeah, maybe that's it. Oh she was a pretty one too. I f****d her real good and right before she got off I ripped her a little OMEGA heart out. She was weak. Just like the lot of you." he says. I'm shocked speechless at his words. How could he kill his-"I, Lewey Freedman of Opal Moon Pack, denounce all ties and understand that in doing so I will become Rouge" he says catching me off guard when I felt his tether snap from the pack, but not as painful and I lunge at him fully shifted when my father tackles me from behind and him and Logan both managed to subdue me in a headlock forcing me to shift back. "LET ME GO! IM GOING TO f*****g KILL HIM!" I roar outraged. When I see Lewey and Alpha Romero jump in a black tinted out jeep with at least forty wolves surrounding them. Lewey opens his window and yells out "Catch you on the rebound brother!" with an evil laugh before they drive off.

Romero's POV

We make it out of the dungeon and to the main doors of the pack house. We look around and see a patrol run the front border off in the distance. "Come on, this way. It's shortest and less guarded. That patrol we just saw already checked this side." Lewey says and starts running at full speed to the east.

I follow suit, allowing Hatï partial control to keep advantage over any guards. "We can't trust that weasel in what he says." Hatï states. "No, we can't. But we can force him to trust us." I laugh sinically. We are half way to the border when two guards appear running full speed towards us. I pick up speed and dodge a set of snapping jaws. I skid to a halt as we square off, waiting for the lunge. The wolf lunges with jaws snapping. Hatï catches his open jaws and we rip his lower jaw from his skull, drenching us in blood.

I look over to Lewey and see he has shifted, most likely due to me breaking his arm. I shrug at the thought as it seems he is already healing. I see the other guards' wolf charge Jonas. Jonas dips under the guard and kicks him off to the side, then pounces on him ripping his throat out, becoming drenched in blood himself. Jonas gives Lewey back control. Lewey looking overly satisfied, a sadistic smile across his face. Hatï just chuckles shaking his head with the same smile on our face.

We suddenly hear a booming roar coming from down wind. "STAND DOWN!!!" as we see Craig standing in shock and rage as his warriors had begun to surround us. "What is the meaning of this brother!?" Craig asks through gritted teeth clenching his chest.

I look to Lewey who suddenly has a crazed look on his face. "You know? He just might actually be crazy, like loose nuts and bolts. It would explain a lot." Hatï says as we both laugh.

"How does it feel brother!? To feel their tethers snap!" Lewey snides. We begin to slowly walk backwards to the border as we hear Craig growl. Then the old retired Alpha steps forward pleading with Lewey."That weasel was actually telling the truth. This pack is far too weak, this will be easy pickings." Hatï tells me.. I just smile in agreement.

"Lewey, come back with us? We can talk about this..." His father pleads desperately. Lewey c***s his head to the side and he lets out a deranged laugh which got me laughing.

"What? So yall can throw me in the dungeon again? Or maybe allow other pack members to disrespect me and get away with it..? Or how about so you can punish me for killing those worthless warriors. OH!? I KNOW! Maybe for killing my goddess given mate? Huh? Yeah, maybe that's it.?" Hatï and I raise an eyebrow at this and smirk in approval. "I think he will fit in just fine" I tell Hatï.

"Oh I f****d her real good too and right before she got off, I ripped her little OMEGA heart out! She was weak! Just like the lot of you!" Lewey screams at the top of his lungs laughing like a crazed man. Everyone just stares at him in shock.

"I, Lewey Freedman of Opal Moon Pack,"

"Here it comes.." Hatï says, trembling with excitement.

"denounce all ties and understand that in doing so I will become rouge" Lewey says defiantly. We both see the cringe of Craig's face as Lewey's tether breaks.

"He's our b***h now.." I say to Hatï devilishly. Craig attempts to lunge at us but his father and some other wolf restrain him as he roars "LET ME GO!! IM GOING TO f*****g KILL HIM!!!"

Lewey and I trot over the border and into a black tinted jeep with at least forty wolves surrounding us. Lewey just couldn't help himself, he rolls the window down and yells back "Catch you on the rebound brother!" He gets back in, rolling up the window laughing hysterically. Adrenaline still coursing through him "WOO!!! That felt amazing!!!" He shouts.

Hatï jumps over on top of him, pinning him to his seat. "Reign your boy in Jonas, you belong to us now!" Hatï growls through gritted teeth. "And as for you, Lewey Freedman...You no longer have a title nor the right to have one. You have effectively lowered your self beneath an Omega..." Hatï whispers coldly into his ear "you work for us now..."

Lewey's eyes widen in shock "But you said you'd help me get my pack and rightful place as Alpha!?" He growls back. "And so I shall. But you belong to me now..." I say as I slit my forearm and force him to drink.
