Chapter 7: Let the Games Begin

Apollo POV: 

After getting to hear from my angel I felt relieved that nothing bad has happened to her. Knowing who and what Kaidon was made me realize that just maybe the prophecy is coming true after all. Deciding that I would really need the help of the others I mind linked everyone to come meet me in my office. While walking up to my office I knew that this news was not going to be easy for Kaylee. I still remember the day that we lost her mate and what had occurred after we finally sedated her.

---Flashback---

We had just sedated Kaylee cause Jeff was dead and she had just killed all of the rogues that were involved in the killing and kidnapping. I knew that she was in good hands here at the infirmary so I made my way out to where the attack had taken place. Finding Bella there already investigating, I walked over to her to check in and see where I could be of help. 

"Hey Bella, what do you need me to do to help out?" I asked as soon as I walked up. Bella turned and gave me a soft hurting smile. "Hey Apollo. Actually if you wouldn't mind I would love it if you could go with Jeff's body and see what exactly killed him. That way we can find out who is behind this and make sure that they never do this again." Nodding I turn around and head over to the truck that was carrying Jeff's body and climbed in. As we started to take off, I asked the warriors if there was anything nonorganic collected from on or around the body. One of our warriors, Cliff, nodded and handed me a bag with a golden knife in it. 

"This was found still in his body when we showed up. From the looks of it we wouldn't have been able to save him from the very beginning. This blade has been completely bathed in wolfsbane and silver nitrate. He was dead the minute this blade was inserted into him." 

Taking the bag, I looked at the blade but did not recognize it as a possession of a member of the pack. Suddenly I received a mind link from Bella demanding that I come to the border right away. After asking if I can take the knife with me, I jumped out of the truck and took off at top speed. Upon arriving, I see that there is a large group of my warrior surrounding some of the rogues that were a part of the attack. Walking up to them I let my alpha aura surround me, making everyone bow their head in submission.

I immediately zone in to the one that just reeked of being the leader and walk straight up to him. Taking him by the front of his shirt I pull him closer to me and shove the bag into his face. 

"Who does this knife belong to and why did you try to kidnap the princess and the beta of this pack? Do you idiots have a death wish or are you just plain stupid?" 

He looked at me straight in the eyes and without hesitation he responded, "That there knife came from some warrior from your very own pack. A wolf by the name of Kaidon supplied us with that very knife to take out your beta male knowing that he was going to be on patrol. As for kidnapping the princess and the beta female our master wanted them so he could have his very way with them. I don't think any of us are stupid or have a death wish what so ever. We are all just desperate wolves that were all ran out of our land when vampires decided that our land was much better than their own land. Please kill all of us and free us from all of this anguish that we have suffered for far too long."

With that being said, I threw him down to the ground and turned to Bella. Nodding I gave her permission to grant these men's request and kill them all. Turning away from the slaughter I headed back to the castle to find out where exactly Kaidon was so I could give him back his knife and banish him for the rest of his life.

---End Flashback---

Finally coming to the office door I walk in and see that everyone is there including my father and mother. Walking over to the electric fireplace that was in my office, I started to explain to everyone that I had heard from Crystal and told them who had her. As I had expected Kay's reaction was quite sever and it took us all a little while to calm her down. Steel started to walk my way to see if I had received any news on where his sister is when out of nowhere there was pain spreading throughout my entire body. Screaming in pain I found myself falling to the ground and curling into a ball. 

"s**t that f*****g asshole is hurting my little sister and we still have no clue where he is!!!!" I heard Steel growling as he gently picked me up off of the floor like I was nothing more than a child and laid me on the couch that is in the office. Each and every pain that was flooding my body I knew was not my own but that of my angel. "He is f*****g whipping her!" I screamed and cried like a baby, "My poor angel is being whipped by that f*****g bastard and there is nothing that I can do!!!" 

Finally after about an hour all of the pain stopped and I was able to breathe again. Looking at all of the others I knew that I needed to message my angel again and make sure that she was alright. Motioning for my phone, Steel quickly grabbed it for me and stood next to me as I messaged his little sister.

A: Angel! Are you ok? Where did you go baby? ANGEL! ANGEL ANSWER ME PLEASE BABY! COME ON SWEETIE I CAN FEEL ALL OF THE PAIN THAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!!

After I sent that message I sat back for a couple of minutes starting to worry even more and then I heard my phone go off. Quickly grabbing my phone I see that it was a message from Crystal and finally I feel like I can breathe again. 

C: Pollo I am ok now. I am so sorry it took me so long to answer you back. I had a run in with your good friend Kaidon and we had some fun getting to know each other. I am ok now thanks to a few people that are on my side. 

A: Angel! Thank the goddess you are ok. Baby I need you to send me your location. This craziness has lasted long enough. I am going to kill him and bring you home.

C: Understood dear but listen when you guys attack anyone with hot pink painted hands is on our side. Do not attack them. They need to be rescued just as much as I do. Here is the location. Show it to Steel. He will know exactly where this is.

Looking over at Steel, who was reading over my shoulder, he nodded and then suddenly looked so pale. All of the sudden he went running out of the room and we all followed him out to the garage where he was starting up my jeep. Looking at me, he started to tell me exactly where she was and that as cubs they were all warned to stay away from that place. "We were all told that there was deadly rogues and other dark creatures there and that they would kill us the moment we showed our faces there. We need to head out now and save my little sister. Do me a favor and tell my sister to hang in there and kick some ass. However she had better save me some baddies cause I am pissed and I need to kill some assholes!" Nodding I sent out my message to Crystal.

A: Ok Angel. Hang in there I am on my way right now. Steel is standing right next to me and when he saw the location he literally flew out the door and was starting up the jeep. We are coming Angel. Steel says kick ass if you can but to make sure to leave him some baddies.

C: Understood Pollo. I can't wait to see my boys. I miss you guys. Please hurry.

With that I told everyone what the plan was. Steel started to chuckle when he heard that his sister was having all of our allies that are there with her paint their hands hot pink just so we would know not to attack them when we get there. Finally everyone that was going with us started to depart either in a vehicle or in wolf form. I quickly jump into the passenger side of the jeep and Bella, Kay and my father all jumped into the back. As soon as everyone was in the jeep, Steel took off like a bat outta hell and headed in the direction of where my Angel was.

---30 Minutes later---

Steel managed to get us there in record time and standing there waiting for us was his father along with some of the warriors from his own pack. Steel quickly hopped out of the car as soon as he placed into park and ran up to his father. John quickly engulfed his son into a large hug and held him tight. I walked up behind Steel and saw that John was reaching a hand out to me. Reaching for it, I allowed John to pull me into the hug as well and found myself sobbing in the arms of my mate’s father. Finally done crying we all pulled away and started to discuss a plan to rescue Crystal. Upon telling her father what she had all of our allies do so that they would not be attacked, he shook his head and started to laugh.

“She actually got that idea from her grandfather when he was alive. At one point he was in a war where they didn’t know who their allies were and who were their enemies. So they came up with the idea that all allies should place colored paint on their hands so that no matter what whether they were in wolf or human form they could tell who their allies were.” Chuckling we all decided that all of our warriors needed to also cover their hands in hot pink paint so we could be distinguished as allies. Looking at the place that we were going I realized that a lot if not all of the wolves that were waiting within the territory had hot pink hands. Even the very army that Kaidon had built wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

Looking at my mates family and my own, I gave the order to head out. Shifting into wolf form I noticed that my paws were indeed still hot pink and that made me smile. I was wearing my angel’s favorite color and was ready to have her back in my arms again. Leading the charge we headed in and started wreaking havoc only to see that on the other side of the complex, there was the most beautiful wolf fighting with a human female on her back.

---Crystal POV---

We left my cell with the help of the guard that was on our side. As we left the dungeon I started to noticed that a good 50% of the people that were in the complex were all sporting hot pink hands and that made me very happy. Knowing my brother and my mate they would be bringing many of the palace warriors, along with my father and many of the warriors that I had trained when I was home. Turning to Conner and Amelia I explained what we were going to be doing.

“Conner I know for a fact you are more comfortable in the infirmary so I need you to go there a pack up a field bag so that if need be you can help with the injured. Amelia I want you to go find a weapon that you can use to protect yourself with. You will be riding my wolf and help me wreak havoc until the calvary get here ok? Ok let’s go people time to be some of the most annoying people in the world!”

With that said, Conner sprinted to the med bay and started making his field bag and was preparing all of the doctors that they had for what they needed to do out in the field. As for me and Amelia, we quickly headed to the armory and found a small, thin sword that was perfect for Amelia to use. Looking at her I could tell that she was scared and unsure of herself.

“Meli, hey look at me sweetie,” I said softly, stepping in front of her and lifting her face so she could look at me, “I promise you that I will bring you back to your brother in one piece ok? Just climb on me when I shift and hold on tight. Whatever you do, don’t let go and just keep swinging your sword. I promise on my life I will protect you.” Nodding at me I knew she was ready to go. I quickly shifted into my wolf and knelt down low so she could climb on me. After Meli climbed up, I stood up straight and took off running out into the middle of the complex and skidded to a stop. Raising my large wolf head, I let out a loud challenging howl calling all of the rogues my way. As me and Meli started fighting the wolves that were attacking us I suddenly felt the need to look over to the other side of the complex and saw the most handsome wolf fighting his way over to me.

“Mate is here!” Saphira purred in my head and I started to swell with pride and happiness. However by taking my focus away from the fight that was in front of me and it cause me to get bitten a couple of times. Quickly turning my head back to the battle I started tearing into all of the rogues that were not sporting pink paws or hands. All I was seeing was red and all I wanted to do was go home with my mate and sleep the night away. I was able to build a like to Meli and Conner earlier and quickly used it to tell Conner to come get Meli because my rampage is going to only get worse and I didn’t want Meli to get hurt. Upon seeing her brother, Meli quickly jumped off of my back and ran right to him. Knowing that she was safe, I turned my gaze back to all of the rogues that were pissing me off. I was finally so happy in my life and I was free and then some maniac that hated that he was caught doing an activity that was punishable by death or banishment. He had whipped me until I was a bloody mess and then had the audacity to not even face me even though I knew he was watching. All of the sudden my body was heating up and I started to hear the roaring sound of water coming my way. Looking towards the river that was not far from where I was, I saw that the water was starting to rise and head my way. Not only that but every time that I started to think about how I hoped that the water would avoid all of the people that had pink hands and paws, the water started to avoid all of them automatically like it was following my thoughts and only took out everyone that didn’t have any pink on them.

As I watched the water flow towards me, I started to realize that I was indeed commanding the water and started using this to my own benefit. I started taking out rogue after rogue and didn’t stop until all of the sudden there was a huge flash of lightning that hit all of the remaining rogues that were out in the field. I looked over at Pollo and realized that it was him that had sent the lightning. Looking around me, I saw that Kaidon was not among all of those that we had fought and then I came up with an idea. I started to think about wanting the water to bring that traitor in front of me and it did just that for me. All of the sudden there was a small shriek that sounded that it should have come from a 12-year-old little girl and then tentacles of water were dragging the coward out of the very top story of the tallest part of the building. Within a second of seeing what I was doing, Apollo was by my side in wolf form ready to fight and kill this asshole.

Quickly shifting back into human form, I placed a hand in front of him to stop him from attacking right away. Turning to my brother I asked him for one of the long shirts that I knew that he had brought with him. Pulling the shirt over my head I slowly approached Kaidon with Apollo by my side.

“Why did you do this? All because you don’t like the fact that you had committed a crime that is usually punishable by death? You were lucky that all he did was banish you in the first place you f*****g coward!” I yelled at the pitiful wolf that was kneeling in front of me. “Well go on tell me asshole. Why did you do it?”

“Because my mate is still in the god forsaken pack because she believes that she should be the next luna queen. Not to mention there is no way in hell that I would ever want that asshole to be happy with such a perfect mate when all mine wants to do is f**k his damn brains out!” Staring at him in disbelief, I shook my head and released him from the shackles that I had made with my water.

“Shift asshole and fight my mate! If you want to make him suffer and hurt him beyond all compare then go ahead. Fight him. See if I care when you get killed for not only kidnapping and assisting in the assassination of the beta male all those years ago. You will fight and you will lose. Good luck asshole. The odds are so not in your favor.” With that I turned to Apollo and nodded my head to him to tell him to go for it and kill this asshole. I walked over to where my father and brother were standing waiting for me. I was emotionally and physically depleted and I needed my daddy and my big brother as much as they needed me. I quickly curled up into my brother’s chest and allowed myself to finally relax. Looking over to where the fight was going on I knew that Apollo was winning and that he was seconds away from killing Kaidon. Sure enough off came the wolfy head of Kaidon and then Apollo lifted his large head and howled in victory. Smiling I cuddled into my brother more and allowed myself to relax even more knowing that this part of our story was finally done.

Suddenly I felt myself switching from my brother’s arms to the arms of my mate and I started to sob into his bare chest. It was over! It was really all over and I was safe once again with the man that I love more then anything in the world! With that going through my head I suddenly realized that I had controlled water with the power of my mind. Looking up at Apollo with blurry eyes, I knew what was coming as the panic started to set in. I quickly turn to my father and asked for permission for me and my allies to enter into my fathers land. We were all in need of medical treatment and our own pack was too far away for many of the warriors. Nodding my father automatically agreed to all of us entering his land. He even let most of the warriors know that there were bunk houses for them to utilize while we stayed there.

My father started to lead me, Steel, Bella, Apollo, Kaylee, Conner and Meli to the pack house where there were doctors and my mother waiting for us at the front door. However before we even made it to the door I started to feel myself slipping into the dark. Allowing myself to fall into this darkness the last thing I heard was Apollo calling out my name and telling me to stay awake. But I was so tired and I couldn’t tell him cause all I wanted to do was sleep. Darkness here I come but don’t hold me for long please I want my mate as soon as possible. Goodnight Pollo I will see you soon.
