Ayesha's POV "Miss president!" I almost fell from my seat when I heard Ellyse's loud and pitchy voice while entering the office. I was busy doing our proposal for the upcoming events of the university while she's freely roaming around the campus and now she's giving me mini heart attacks. "Argg! Ellyse, when will you ever learn to lower down you scary voice?" Prince retorted while acting like his ears hurt. Ellyse just raised her brows at him. She strutted to my table while smiling ear to ear. My forehead creased when I saw her peeking at the window behind me. "I noticed that you always watch our basketball team's training," Her eyes landed back at me. "Do you like someone from the varsity, miss president?" She waggled her eyebrows. I stared at her and then drifted my gaze to the players on the covered court. The view from this window is the best view to watch their training everyday. I don't know what's wrong with that? I am the student council's president, is there something wrong if I want to check the players whenever I have time to? I smiled before I snatched the folders she's holding. "Where did you get these?" She sat on the swivel just infront my table. She smiled widely while watching me flip over the pages of the folders she brought. I peeked at her and laughed at her expression. "Hey Ellyse, I'm asking you." "I asked a question first, Ayesha." She smiled evenmore it made me shiver, Ellyse won't really backout whenever she wants to know something. "Who among the players caught your attention?" She looks so much interested and I know I can't run away with this. But still, I don't find it amusing just like what I'm seeing on her eyes. Is it really surprising to know if I'm liking someone from the varsity? I mean, it's normal to admire people. "Quit it Ellyse, I don't like anyone." "I don't believe you. We've known each other for so long now Ayesha, do you think you can fool me? I know you so much," she even winked at me. "Can't you wait till she tells us about it? Why are you forcing her anyway?" Said Prince who already looks irritated. He's been doing the task I gave him since this morning and now Ellyse's loud voice is disturbing us both from our works. Ellyse turned to him, "You know what Prince? I don't need your opinion here." And she even rolled her eyes. I just laughed at the two of them. Ellyse is our secretary while Prince is the surgeant at arms. These two would often argue over petty things, like cats and dogs. This is why the council always tease them as lovers. Ellyse turned back to me, I was surprised when she held my hand pleading me to tell her about the guy I like. "Come on Ayesha, who's the guy?" I can't help but be entertained because of the determination she has on her eyes. It's not like knowing the person I like would save the world or do something helpful for her. But just like what she said, she must have really known me so well to notice that I've been watching the varsity's training everyday. She pouted before letting go of my hand. I smiled, I thought she already gave up but then I was surprised when she stood up. She went near the window and then looked at the people outside. "Hi guys!" She greeted them. She pulled me beside her and that's when I saw all the basketball players looking at us. "Say hi to our student council president, she's so lovely right?" My eyes grew wide at what she said. The varsity players yelled and I felt my cheeks heating up because of embarassment. Ellyse is known for her sense of humor and fierce personality, that is why she is so famous at school. She's fun to be with even when her words are so vulgar, she's so honest and straightforward . "Hey Ehl! What on earth do you think you're dpoing?" I recognized Earl from the players. He's our vice president and he's also a part of our varsity team. I shrugged when his gaze shifted to me, I smiled at him. "Earl! Can you introduce us to your teammates?!" "Ellyse--" She looked at me and smiled, a reassuring smile and a naughty one I guess. "Getting to know each other stage miss pres." And she even winked at me. Ugh, really Ellyse. Earl gave out a thumbs up before pulling his teammates one by one to introduce them to us. "Ralph," he named the guy on his left. "Kevin," the guy on his right. "Francis,Christian.." he continued. My heartbeat almost stopped when he turned to Ken. I want to tell him to stop because I already know the guys he's about introduce but I chose to keep quiet so they won't notice. "Kenneth," I winced when he waved at me. It's like something flicked inside my chest. I though I'm going to pass out when he smiled at me. "I know her, I met her last week." Yeah, last week, when I got hit by him. I was talking to a friend that time when he accidentally hit me. I still remember how goodlooking he is that time, even when he's so wet with his own seat he smelled so manly. And I believe, Cupid used that moment to hit me too. Love at first sight is real. "Hmm, so it's Kenneth Yu huh." I pulled out from my reverie when I heard Ellyse murmur near my ear. I looked at her and saw her nodding while looking at Ken. The team resumed on their training already. I decided to go back to my seat but then I really couldn't avoid Ellyse's teasing smile. "Finally, I really thought you're not gonna find someone until you graduate. But hey, your taste is so good, that guy is really something." She winked at me. I felt my the heat on my cheeks once again. She was able to find out who's the guys I like, what a persistent girl. Well, she's right, Kenneth Yu is something. But I'm sure this is just admiration, I don't plan to exceed to this. I'm afraid to commit because I've seen so much broken people on the internet and even some of my friends and classmates. I'm afraid to experience another pain because I was busy all my life living in pain. "Alright miss president, you need to sign these." And now she's back being our secretary, after what she did. I nodded. I resumed on reading the content of the folders, I found out that these are proposals for the upcoming week founding anniversary of the university. I scanned each proposal carefully before signing them. I was even laughing at some proposals but I still signed them because I want the celebration to be fun. I cleaned my table after signing the proposals. I guess I'll have to continue the rest of my work tomorrow. I leaned on my swivel chair as I stare at the players on the covered court. I caught a glimpse of the sunset and it made me feel relaxed. How I wish setting down your light is as relaxing is this sunset. **
