CHAPTER 33: Taking The Blame The silence that followed Alpha Dakota’s words was enough that everyone could hear their own breathing. The huge hall had gone completely still. Dakota stood tall at the center with his expression grave. “So,” he said after a long pause, his deep voice echoing through the chamber, “no one wishes to speak?” No answer came and the tension only grew. Dakota sighed and rubbed his temple. “It doesn’t matter,” he continued. “The assassin will be found. It’s only a matter of time.
