CHAPTER 48: Dangerous Rumors
The noise was really drawing out her angry and violent wolf with loud shouting and angry voices. There was the sound of something heavy being thrown again and Selene’s breath caught as the crowd surged again, their words twisting together into one ugly mess that filled the entire street outside the Silverfang Pack House.
“Get her out of here!”
“She doesn’t belong here!”
“We don’t want her filth!”
“BROTHER FUCKER!”
Selene flinched at that last part and stared wide-eyed at the sea of furious faces in front of her. She had faced monsters in forests, assassins in the dark.ams wolves with poison on their claws… but this... this was different.
