CHAPTER 49: Confusion At Home
Soren finally exhaled and called out to a servant nearby. The servant hurried forward and bowed his head.
“Yes, Alpha.”
“Lead Alpha Caden to the guest quarters and make sure everything is ready for him. He’s come a long way.”
The servant nodded quickly.
“At once, Alpha.”
Caden gave Soren a short look and then followed the servant out of the hall with his footsteps echoing down the corridor until they disappeared completely.
As soon as he was gone, Beta Zane stepped forward.
“What the hell was that?” he demanded in a low growl. “You just let him walk in here and claim that Selene is his mate? Out of nowhere?”
Soren rubbed a hand across his jaw.
“I don’t know what that was, Beta Zane. I’m just as confused as you are.”
