CHAPTER 64: An Unexpected Visit
Alpha Caden was laughing at something Beta Kane had said... something about the new recruits running from training like scared rabbits... when the feeling hit him.
It was sharp, cold and wrong. His smile fell instantly and his hand shot to his chest.
Kane noticed.
“Alpha? What’s wrong?”
Caden didn’t speak for a moment. He was staring at nothing, breathing slowly and listening inwardly and he felt it again. A ripple of pain that wasn’t his.

His heart beat once and hard in realization.
“Kane,” he said quietly, “get everything ready. We’re going to Crestwood Pack. Now.”

“Is everything alright? Your face… you look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
