The Girl Between Two worlds :chapter 1;Two different worlds
Chapter 1: Two Different Worlds
The morning sun painted the sky with shades of gold as students streamed through the gates of Saraswati Academy. Laughter filled the air, and the school courtyard buzzed with excitement as everyone hurried to their classrooms.
Among the crowd walked Amira Kapoor, a seventeen-year-old student known for her excellent grades and quiet confidence. Teachers admired her dedication, and her classmates often wished they could be as successful as she was.
To everyone else, Amira’s life seemed perfect.
But appearances could be deceiving.
As she entered her classroom, her best friend, Kyla Jones, waved enthusiastically from a nearby desk.
“Amira! Over here!”
Amira smiled and took the seat beside her.
“Did you study for today’s results?” Kyla asked.
Amira laughed softly. “Of course. You know I did.”
A few minutes later, their teacher entered carrying a stack of papers.
The room immediately fell silent.
One by one, the results were announced.
When the teacher reached the top score, she smiled proudly.
“First place once again… Amira Kapoor.”
The classroom erupted into applause.
Amira stood and accepted her paper while trying not to feel embarrassed by all the attention.
“Congratulations,” the teacher said. “Keep up the excellent work.”
“Thank you, ma’am,” Amira replied.
The rest of the day passed quickly, but despite her success, something continued to bother her.
That evening, after returning home, Amira sat quietly during dinner.
Her father looked at her report card and nodded approvingly.
“Excellent marks,” he said. “If you continue like this, you’ll have no trouble entering one of the best universities in India.”
Her mother smiled warmly.
“We’re very proud of you.”
Amira forced a smile.
“Thank you.”
She truly appreciated her parents’ support. Yet deep inside, she felt a growing emptiness.
After dinner, she retreated to her bedroom.
The walls were lined with books, awards, and certificates, reminders of everything she had achieved.
But hidden beneath her desk was something far more important.
A notebook.
Amira carefully opened it.
Inside were sketches of stage costumes, story ideas, character designs, and pages filled with dreams she had never shared with anyone.
She loved storytelling.
She loved acting.
She loved creating worlds where people could become anyone they wanted to be.
Sometimes she imagined herself standing on a stage beneath bright lights, performing before a cheering audience.
It felt more real than anything else.
Yet she knew her parents expected a different future.
A safer future.
A future built on grades, university admissions, and a successful career.
Closing the notebook, Amira stared out of her window at the stars above.
For the first time in a long while, she wondered if it was possible to have both.
The future everyone wanted for her.
And the future she wanted for herself.
Little did she know that a single opportunity waiting at Saraswati Academy would soon change everything.
