During the long hours that he’d spent in Simon’s hospital room, fretting and worrying and agonizing, Kelly had decided he needed to tell Simon the truth. It was going to be awkward and would require proof. Simon was a scientist and, as much as he was a die-hard fan of science fiction and fantasy, there was no way he would take Kelly’s word. “There was nothing you could’ve done.
