Sophie ,Part 2

A Month Later –

Monday, March 1st, 2019

This was my first time walking to school since the bus driver had announced that he was no longer picking us up on this side of town. I didn’t like the fact that I had to walk to school but my doctor told me it would be good for me to walk, he said walking makes for an easier and shorter labor, it’s been a month and I’ve done good with my first trimester so far. What I meant was I had done good with keeping it a secret from everyone well besides my Father and doctor ,and my elderly grandmother knows to but that’s about it ,really that’s about as much family we stay in contact with, I don’t know my mother’s side ,why would I anyway she left and I’m pretty sure her family knew about me so if they wanted, they had plenty of time to come and visit me. I have a half-brother, his names Aaron ,we don’t have a way to contact each other because of his mother, and no we don’t have the same mother ,Last time I saw Aaron was when I was 6 and his mom took my dads parental rights away from him ,she said my dad was a drunk ,and she was lying she just wanted to receive money from the state ,if fit was true she would have tried to get me ,but No she didn’t and because of what she did I don’t have anyway to contact my brother.

I haven’t been in contact with Lee since we broke up, No he doesn’t know that I’m pregnant ,why would he ,he’s nothing but trouble and I don’t want my baby to be involved with him or him involved with my baby, * I cross the street to the school and walk into the parking lot.

-as I’m walking I’m getting honked at by multiple cars telling me to move out there way ,and as I’m almost to the clear glass doors at my school a Black Mustang pulls up in front of me blocking my view “heyyyyyyy spoh”, I try to ignore him and go behind the car but Lee pulls back blocking my view again, I hear him tell one of the guys to go park his car while he gets out and walks towards me ,he throws his arm around me intensely “so I’ve been meaning to talk to you” ,I push his arm off of me annoyed of his presence and try to walk away ,but he grabs my arm and shoves me towards him “look get your dad to stop investigating Gullane Drive or else” “or else what” ,he took his lolly pop out of mouth and came closer to whisper in my ear “you know what soph ,why do you think I started dating you in the first place me dating the new lead detectives daughter was my goal ,but taking what I did was just a piece of cake on top of everything. I looked at him furious ,but then I smirked at him and whispered in his ear “all I can remember from that night is thinking ,I hope he enjoys this because I will definitely not come begging him for anything, after this” I walked away leaving him speechless and yes I felt good about what I said but then that dived down because I could think about after that was my baby ,I feel sorry that it’s related to that excuse of a human, but as long as I keep my child and me away from him my life and my baby’s will be fine ,I walk up the stairs in and pass by Lee’s new girlfriend Kate ,she stops me “can I have a word”,”……………..” “meet me in the bathroom after 1st period”, then she left, I didn’t really understand that why would you ask to talk to me only to talk to me at a different time, it’s not like I plan on talking to her anyway, I’m not meeting her.

-3hour’s pass and I’m now in 2nd period ,I ask my teacher if I could have a pass to walk to my locker ,she said ok ,I start walking down the hallway to my locker and I spot Lee tipping something to the school janitor ,I ignore it and try to walk the other way so he wouldn’t spot me ,I succeed and leave the area a soon as I get up to my locker I feel someone grab my arm and force me into the bathroom ,I fall down on the bathroom floor and look up to see Kate and her friends ,”so what happened Sophie did, you forget about our little meeting”, I look up at her seeing she has a smirk on her face “you know what, who in the Hell do you think your are ,giving me order’s like you’re the boss, Just because your f*****g him doesn’t mean you claim the tittle as girlfriend ,he’s to much of a ho himself to let you get by with that” ,soon as I say that I see the anger build up in her and one of the girls hold me up so she can swing and punch me in the stomach ,I swerve the punch and she ends up punching me in the face “see what I tell you ,this b***h thinks she’s better than us ,because her father’s a detective” ,she walk’s up to me and touches my face on the side she punched me “does it hurt”, when she touches I can still fell the burn of shock racing with my nerves ,the next 5 minutes where brutal the beat me so bad I couldn’t walk after they where done ,Kate told me to get my dad to drop his case and things would get easier for me, and then her and her friends left, I crawled into a bathroom stall and pain fled my entire body I was afraid that my baby could have been hurt so I tried to reach down in my pocket and grab my phone and then I paused for a moment if I call my father he would rush down here to get me and I couldn’t put his life in danger when Lee and his friends where probably betting on it I hear noise starting to creep In and I black out.
