Joshua was surprised when Dr. Reese came in that afternoon and told him that he would be discharged from the hospital shortly. He had expected to be a patient for at least a few days, not to be released in a matter of hours. Joshua knew that as soon as he left the building, his punishment would begin, and the more he thought about it, the more he hated the idea.
