Aggie, Damian, and Devon left Gwen with her cookies and treats from Lucy shortly after Drake’s explosive exit from his laboratory. Aggie and Damian strolled together to the hospital while Devon hurried to the Emery Technologies headquarters to assess the damage. As they walked together, Aggie held her grandson’s hand. She squeezed it and looked up at him.
“You made me proud today,” Aggie grinned at him. “If you had chosen to be the Alpha of Dark Moon, you would have been spectacular.”
“Thanks, Grandma,” Damian said, blushing at her praise. “But we both know I would be miserable as the Alpha of anywhere. That is why I have offered to help Jake when he needs it and do some traveling for the pack, sort of like an ambassador, but not.”
