Logan raced to catch up with the mystery dragon. She was his second chance mate, and he could not let her leave his sight. His bellow had made her fly faster as she traveled toward the community of Obsidian. Logan was trying to focus on the dragon before him instead of the idea that he might have frightened her.
The dragon was a deep blue with a metallic sheen. She was not overly large, and her wings were long and delicate. That made her look almost fragile as she glided in front of him. The dragon looked over her shoulder and screeched at him, undoubtedly a warning to leave her alone. That made him fall back to keep pace with her instead of trying to catch her.
