Coal: When she started talking to me like that in front of everyone, I couldn't have that happening. They all think she's my current girlfriend so then they'll think they can talk to me that way. There'd be a lot of funerals that week. After history I made sure that everyone knew not to talk to her, maybe that's why after dating girls some of them disappear. I held all her doors and made her sit only by me and this new girl Anne. This girl is the reason that I am in this mess, if she wouldn't have needed an introduction then we wouldn't be in this mess. I mean December didn't get an introduction and she's way more important than Anne. I don't have any idea how I am going to tell December she's my mate. When she told me, she didn't believe my act it hurt. I try being nice for her and she doesn't even appreciate it or reward me. I saw her walking towards our apartments and decided to go join her. "Hey December." "What do you want?" "I need to tell you something, but I have a question first." "Go for it." "Have you shifted yet?" "No but I am going to soon so don't make fun, I can still kill someone if I have to." "Wait what? No, I was just wondering if you knew it too." "Knew what?" "December we're mates." She just stared at me for what felt like hours. I have never been nervous in my life but now I wish I could be somewhere else doing something else. You could see the wheels spinning in her head. She didn't know what to say or do. When she finally breathed, I had a tiny breath too. "We're mates?" "Yes, December we are. And I know you don't have your wolf, so you don't feel it but just give me a chance. Just trust me and let me prove it to you. "Fine I mean it can't hurt anything, right?" I grinned so large that it actually kind of hurt my cheeks. "But you better not get all possessive and controlling, especially because I don't have my wolf, so I won't feel anything like you." "No promises. I am very controlling, and they say that Alphas are very possessive of their mates so I can't promise I won't be like that, but I will try." I followed her into her apartment, the maids were cleaning and making her dinner. They smiled at her and I could smell their fear of me. But they still smiled at me and their smiles appeared genuine. "Is he staying for dinner too?" She looked at me and nodded. "Okay well we made spaghetti and meatballs, and then some French bread with garlic." December licked her lips, at least she doesn't starve herself. "Yay, spaghetti is my favorite besides lasagna." I should make note of that. She walked over to her counter and sat on the stools, or at least tried to. She is so short that she can't get up there by herself. She reached for the counter to help herself up there, but I decided I should help her myself. I lifted her up there and she looked at me like I was a dragon. "I just thought that you might have needed help." "Oh well thank you." "Yea no problem." She smiled at me and made me get all happy inside. Since the maids were cooking dinner, and December didn't want to smell it anymore and not be able to eat it, we went in the living room and started watching tv. We were watching The Goldberg’s; the show is hilarious. Her laugh is filling the atmosphere and it's so cute. She wrinkles her nose in a way and she sounds like a kid. She caught me staring at her and looked away quickly. I kept looking at her and I could see her side glancing at me. I smelled a male wolf coming and I quickly stood up. It smelled like a Beta, my Beta. He probably was looking for me at my place and when I wasn't there, he smelt me here. "What are you doing here Jake?" "Alpha I came to watch the game with you but when you weren't in your apartment, I got kind of concerned and then when I smelled you next door I just wanted to see if it was here, we are watching the game." "Jake I am with my mate." "It’s okay you guys can watch the game here if you'd like. I was gonna watch it too. I didn't realize it was so close to starting." I looked at my beautiful mate, she just got a little more perfect. "Are you sure? We can always watch the game another time." "Coal it's okay. Besides, I think if I am really your mate I should become well acquainted with your Beta." She's lucky she said acquainted and not anything beyond that. I think I would have hurt my Beta. "So, she's your mate?" "Yea, why?" I got a little defensive over her. "Well I just never thought you'd be mated to a rogue or someone so tiny." "Hey, I might be small, but I can still kick your butt if I have to." "Please don't tempt me rogue." "Jake don't you ever talk to my mate like that. I will rip your head off." Jake is very hateful towards rogues. They killed his mom who was the only person who was nice to him in his family. His father was abusive to his mom and him. His sister was always the perfect one and his older brother is a Warrior wolf which means that he leads the battles when the Alpha isn't there or to protect the Luna. The Betas first son is always the Warrior wolf, and so those wolves are trained to be cold and never show any emotion. "Alpha I'm sorry but you know how I feel about rogues." "And you will accept this one, she is going to be your Luna and you will like it." "Alpha I don't feel the bond towards her. Does she have her wolf?" "No, I don't and stop talking to each other as if I'm not here." "She's got an attitude, maybe she is your mate after all." "Excuse me Miss, dinner is ready." Her maids rushed in to tell us about dinner. "Could you please bring it in here? We are going to watch the game and you are welcome to join us if you'd like." And she's compassionate to others, this is just perfect. "Oh, thank you Miss!" The maids all ran in here and sat on the couch, the dinner they cooked is delicious. I turned the television to the hockey channel and waited for the commercials to go away. There were some pretty funny commercials to watch. The game finally came on, it was the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Boston Bruins. Both teams are incredible, I don't know who is better. I looked over at December and she seemed so focused in the game, she was obviously for Pittsburgh, every time they scored or did a great play, she would grin so large and groan when the Bruins would do something good. After the game she kicked us out of her apartment. She said she needed to catch up on her homework. I mean I get kicking Jake out but kicking me out too? That isn't cool with me at all.
