Jannelle POV

“AHHHHHHH, oh my Goddess you two are really going on a date? I can’t believe it. I am so excited for you! Oh my what hot s*x you two will be having later. You better not skimp out on any of the details.” Megan screamed into the phone. I had to pull the phone away from my ear. Wow Megs, that was painful, I said as I rubbed my ear. “Oh sorry babe, I am just so happy for you two!”she said excitedly. I am too. I am really looking forward to it. I have no idea what he is planning though. He told me to  go out and buy an outfit for tonight and get pampered. He said either you could pick me up if you were down or we could use his car service. “Girl, we are using the car service. We can be pampered and drink mimosas while doing it.” she said. OK, I guess that sounds fine. What time can you be here? “I will be there in twenty minutes!” she said excitedly. Megan hung up and I just stood in my bedroom daydreaming and thinking about what just took place on my bed not more than fifteen minutes ago. I started becoming aroused thinking of how hard Zack was. Nope!  I said out loud waving my hand. I cannot go down that rabbit hole, I thought to myself. I quickly threw on my nike’s and a light zip up hoodie. When I was ready to go I made my way to the kitchen to grab a drink and wait for Megan to arrive. I could still hear the shower running. Damn, he must be taking an extra long cold shower. There was a knock at the door and I thought to myself, that was quick. It’s only been five minutes. I opened the door and said Yay I’m read-. “Why are you here? Where is Zack? We have plans!” The woman said. Um, I’m sorry who are you? “I’m Zack’s fwb.” She said with a cocky smirk. FWB? I replied curiously. “Friend with benefits.” She said. Oh, I softly replied. He’s in the shower. I was just heading out. You can wait on the couch for him if you’d like. I have to go. I moved past this woman and ran out of the house. I couldn’t believe I was about to go to dinner with Zack. He was sleeping with  someone else and thought he would start a relationship with me! I’m so stupid! I cried as I was running to nowhere in particular. I had no idea where I was going. I had no car, I didn’t know where Megan lived. I didn’t even have a cell phone. I saw a nearby bench at the dog park down the street and I decided to sit there and think. When I sat down this adorable little Lab came trotting over to me and laid her head on my lap. Aww hey there cutie what’s your name? She just looked up at me and wagged her tail. “Oh wow, I’m so sorry'' came a familiar voice. I looked up to see Dr. Stephens standing there and trying to pull her dog away. Oh I hi Dr. Stephens! How are you? “Hello Jannelle, I am doing very well. I see Mia really likes you.” Ha, oh yea I guess so, I said and wiping a tear away hoping she didn’t notice. “Jannelle, sweetie, what’s wrong?” she asked. Oh I’m fine. I’m sorry. “Jannelle, I’ve known you since you were born. I can tell when you aren’t fine. Sit and talk with me. Maybe I can help.” she said. I took a deep breath. I didn’t really know her but I did feel safe with her. I was just at Zack’s house and we decided we were going to explore our relationship. He wanted me to go out and “get pampered” before our date tonight. “That sounds sweet.” she replied. Yea it was until a woman came to the door claiming to be his friend with benefits. I just can’t believe I allowed myself to fall for him without even really knowing him, I said sadly. “You do know him, even if you don’t remember him your brain and body do recognize him which is part of the reason you fell so fast. Not to mention that he is your mate Jannelle.” I looked up at her shocked and confused. How do you know he is my mate? “I can tell. The way your bodies respond to each other. The way you light up whenever he’s near.” she said. But he’s with someone else. Megan told me I was cheated on by my last boyfriend. I don’t want to go through that again. “Did you talk to him? Did you ask him what was going on?” No, I just ran out of the house. He was still in the shower. He probably doesn’t even know I’m gone, I said. “I think he does now,” she said. Just then I heard Zack shouting my name. “Jannelle, baby are you alright?”

Zack POV

After my long needed shower, I shut the water off and dried off. I took a long look in the mirror and smiled. In just a few hours I was going to have my princess alone and I’d be spoiling her rotten. I was so excited. I heard another voice in my house and I assumed it was Megs. I finished drying off and wrapped the towel around my waste. When I walked out drying my hair with another towel I started to say have fun gir- I was cut off by the sight of Carmen. Carmen what the f**k are you doing here? I asked. “Oh hey sexy are you ready for me to join you?” she asked seductively. Join me? f**k no. Why are you here Carmen and where is Jannelle?  “Oh her, she ran out of the house after I told her the truth about us.” she said. Truth about us? What truth is that? “That we are friends with benefits. You can’t keep trying to hide it. I know how often you think about me and want me. Just as much  as I want you baby.” She said as she got way too close and put her hand on my chest. I quickly moved her hand away and back up. Carmen, I don’t want you. I will never want you. You are a twisted individual. If you hurt my princess in any way I will banish you  from my pack. Do you understand me? Carmen’s face told me she understood but that didn’t stop her from forging ahead with her plan. “Oh baby you don’t mean that. I don’t know what spell she has you under but let me make it better for you. She grabbed at my towel and just as I was about to push her away in walked Megs. “What in the actual f**k is going on here?” Megan shouted. Megs it’s not what it looks like. Carmen works for me and believes I’m her mate. I’m trying to get her out of my house so  I can go find Jannelle. “b***h if you don’t remove yourself from my friends home I would gladly do it for you.” Megan yelled at Carmen. “Geeze so much hostility. I expect nothing less from a fiery redhead such as yourself.” She replied with an evil smile. “I’m more than willing to get down with a threesome.” Carmen pointed between the three of us. GET OUT NOW! I boomed. I used my Alpha tone and Carmen got the picture real quick. She became crying and ran from the house. “And stay away you tramp!” Megan shouted after her. Megs have you seen Jannelle? When I got out of the shower she was gone. Carmen told her we were friends with benefits. I need to find her and fix this. “I didn't see her.” she said. I’m going to go outside and walk around. I headed for the door and Megs stopped me. “Umm I think you might want to change first,” she said pointing to my towel. Right! Good call. I ran to the bedroom and changed and then ran out the front door. Goddess please help me find her. I have to make this right. I have to explain.
