***Lizzy’s Point of View***
I couldn’t believe what Nick just told me. This is the real world not some fairytale. Werewolves only existed in books and movies not in the real world. Did he really expect her to believe him? But the look in his eyes when she told him she was leaving was almost heart breaking. It was just to much for one night. She was thinking about going to bed when her phone started to ring. She was hoping that it wasn’t him and she was more than relieved when she saw it was her mom.
“Hey mom. How have you been”?
“Not to bad dear. How have you been”?
“I could be better mom. I went out on a date tonight but it didn’t end well”.
“What happened honey? Tell me everything”.
As I went into the events of this evening she didn’t really say much. I explained how he thought I was his mate just because my shampoo and body wash made me smell good. How I can’t keep my mind off him and not to mention he doesn’t smell to bad either.
“Sweety there is something that we need to tell you. Why don’t you come home for the weekend”?
“Sure mom. Maybe a weekend at home is just what I need. Would you care if I brought a friend”?
“Not at all dear. The more the merrier”.
“Love you mom. Talk to you later”.
“See you this weekend Lizzy”.
As I got off the phone with my mom I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t help but wonder what she had to tell me this weekend. Maybe I should bring Nick along I still like him and maybe he could explain things more on the ride there. Grabbing my phone to text Nick I was hit with a major headache. I just need to grab some Tylenol and it will all be ok.
I took 3 and decided to head to bed and I would deal with Nick in the morning. Even in my sleep I was restless. Dreaming about wolves, I even dreamt that I was a wolf. A gorgeous one to boot. I had reddish brown fur with blue green eyes. I couldn’t do anything but smile knowing that it might be a reality in the near future.

He couldn’t believe she just walked out on him like that. She wasn’t listening to anything he was saying and it really frustrated him. When he got home he tried calling her a few times but she was either ignoring him or just not hearing her phone. He would like to think the latter because it hurt less but he knew the truth.
Maybe this was his destiny. He would pass the pack down to his brother Axle. His father wouldn’t like it but how is he suppose to lead the pack without his Luna? If he would have never met her it would be one thing. He met her and he needed her or he was a goner. How was he suppose to win her back though was the question.
Dude! You need to go get her!
Calm down Luke. I’m giving her some space. She walked out on me remember?
Yes I remember, but I need her!
I know man! I need her to.
Before he knew it the sun had came up and he didn’t sleep a lick. All he could think about was her. He needed her to be ok with his wolf. She had to accept him and help him lead the Silver Moon Pack. Axle couldn’t handle the pressure and the pack would greatly suffer. Should he call her or wait for her to call. He never did understand women and it’s just gotten worse as he got older.
He decided he needed to run and clear his head. Everything else could wait until later. He got dressed into some basketball shorts and threw his running shoes on when his phone rang. Please, please ,please let it be Lizzy he thought.
“Hello”?
“Hey Nick”.
“How are you doing this morning”?
“I’m fine I just wanted to ask you a question”.
“I’ll answer anything you ask honestly. Just please don’t hang up”.
“I’m not going to hang up I promise. What would you say to a little weekend trip? Just the two of us”?
“Really? Like to where”?
“Yes really. My mom wants me to come visit and she said I could bring a friend. She wants to talk to me about something and I don’t want to be by myself”.
“Yea sure I’ll go with you. Isn’t this something you might want Abby for though”?
“Normally yes, but I was hoping that maybe we could talk more on the way there”.
“Ok then you’ve got yourself a riding buddy. What time and day should I pick you up”?
“I’ll text you with details later. Thanks again and I’m sorry for walking out the other night”.
“I’m just glad I’m getting a second chance to explain myself”.
“I gotta jump off here and get ready for work though. So I’ll talk to you later”.
“I’m looking forward to it. Have a nice day Lizzy”.
Just like that he could breathe easier. She was going to give him a second chance to explain himself and his way of life. Not only was he happy but his wolf Luke was prancing around like a puppy in his mind. He couldn’t wait to get back to the cabin so he could let him out to run.

Now that my early morning phone call was done I could get back to pacing my apartment. Even though I asked him to come along I still wasn’t sure I was ready to accept everything he was saying. But I mean there might be some truth to it who knows. This just proves that I really am a freak magnet. Ugh!
Never the less the car ride should be fun enough. When I can’t take anymore talking I can just tune him out with the radio. I knew all the good stations from here all the way to my parents. Unless they changed in the last couple years. Maybe I should just make a road trip playlist and take some headphones just in case.
Time to forget about thoughts of this weekend and think about work. I really didn’t want to go in today because I still had a splitting headache. Knowing my boss though I knew he wouldn't give me the weekend off if I didn’t go in the rest of the week. So I took a few more Tylenol and started getting ready.
Before I walk out the door I grab my phone and text Abby to see if she wants to meet for lunch. She normally says yes but we haven’t spoke much since I needed her help with my outfit for my date. I needed to talk to her and just be girls if I was about to be surrounded by mostly men for the whole weekend. I knew she would say yes but I just needed a time which she gave me. I’ll set my alarm now for a few minutes early so I can walk and meet her.
