Almost Fallen

"Who will volunteer to descend to the earthly realm for half a year??" The Heavenly ruler asked in a meeting involving only reliable and capable Heavenly Immortals and angels.. " I have a precious daughter down there who is always in trouble but finds a way to get out of it but the situation down there now is getting worse and am afraid she might not be able to get out of it this time so she needs a Divine intervention now"The Ruler continued... Reuel, one of the trusted angels present in the meeting, became excited at the prospect of going down to earth, and decided that he must be the one to go.. He has heard so much about earthly wonders and human invention.. Computers, Cars, Aircrafts, Ships, Sky scrapers, even their delicacies, just name them.. He has always been by The King's side all these years and hasn't gotten the opportunity to visit earth but this time around, he decided to go. He stood, then cornered from his seat as he moved towards the Heavenly King.. Everyone stared at him bemused.. " Here I am Lord, send me" he said as he bows and kneels in respect, stretching forth his hands to join together in a clasp.. "Reuel, Reuel, Rise" The King commanded in a powerful voice.. Reuel obeys quickly. " This needs careful considerations. it isn't something you can conclude Hastily..Now listen, You will be transformed into a Mortal, you will have a Flesh, Do you know what that means??" The king asked.. " Yes I do Lord... There will be emotions, Aging, Pain, Sickness, Death, and some more of which humans encounter" Reuel responded sharply.. His head still bowed.. The King nodded," Your powers shall be restricted and can only be available when you go into deep meditations.. You must obey the commandments of Heaven and stay clear from sin and earthly desires...Never associate with clans of the devil and in addition, you must not fall into mortally love or get too emotionally involved with a woman on Earth..These are the rules. If any of these are broken, what are the consequences??" The King asked.. " I shall become a fallen angel, never to return to heaven, and also become a devil and be sent to hell" I replied, wincing from the thought of becoming a devil and being sent to hell...God help me.. " very good. now remember, I am not sending you on a quick invisible message down earth as normal..This is more intense..The angels sent so far on this kind of mission, never returned" The king said sadly.." They each broke a rule......Now you all know that Ten years on Earth is just a Day in heaven.. you will be on Earth for just six months, which is about some minutes here.. so we shall be expecting and awaiting your return here in say twenty minutes Reuel..But then in as much as I trust you, I think you need a precautionary guide" The King said as he Stretched forth his hands and in it appeared a bottle containing a colorless liquid...oh no...The Emotionless Water of Heaven!! I gasped inwardly in fear.. What I have heard so far of those who drank this hasn't been encouraging at all......." What is this?" King asked, cutting me off my thoughts..."Emotionless Water" I responded bodly not about giving away the fear in me.. " Good. This will help you stay clear from mortally love, just in case emotions tend to deepen towards a woman..it will help stabilize your heart so you can accomplish your mission.. So are you still willing to go down" The King asked for the last time. my mind has been made up already..After all, it's just for half a year..I can do it all. so, "yes, I am willing to go down..My Lord" I said, determined. " fine, just see it as a trial but remember, your mission is to protect and direct a certain woman to her destination..Now come with me as I take you to the preparation room to get you prepared for your next life as a mortal.. the rest of you are dismissed" the King said in final as he stood up from his throne... I looked up at the others as they rise to bow in respect and saw looks of sadness each on their faces as if saying - we are about to lose another good angel -....I will prove them wrong, I must return back to heaven........
