At the castle: Tristan had walked back to castle in a hurry since he was already late for lunch but couldn't get the girl he had just met out of his head, not only she looked extremely beautiful in a floral dress and cute facial features, she had a captivating aura and excellent skills as well. However, he restrained himself completely before joining his father at the royal table for lunch along with his friends "What have you been up to since morning son? I haven't seen you in the castle" "We had gone out to take a stroll in the forest father" he replied "That's good for your health children" "Yes your majesty" Malcolm agreed "Do you remember your grand ceremony is in two days?" King Sage asked "What ceremony?" Tristan looked up in surprise "It's your birthday son, all the royals are invited to the celebration ball on the night of seventh September" King explained "Oh It must've slipped my mind…is it really necessary father?" Tristan pleaded "Yes, it is very much necessary since we have to take care of other matters before your crowning as well" "Other Matters such as?" "Such as finding your queen my son, you won't do it on your so it is obvious that I have to take care of it" "That is the least of my concerns, my kingdom is my priority" "The kingdom needs a queen and you do too" "All of us agree with the king" Abel said before Tristan could answer Tristan looked at Abel with a threatening stare "As you wish father" Tristan replied trying his best not to sound annoying as he had no choice but to accept his father's request. The rest of the lunch went by quietly as nobody said a word "I expect you treat your guests nicely and give them company Tristan" the king said to him before getting up from lunch. Everybody else stood up as well when he was leaving and sat back down, "Guess somebody's excited for their birthday" Orville teased "Don't even start" Tristan warned "Your father's concerns are correct you should take this matter seriously" Malcolm said "Do you really think I want to marry one of these pretty pink princesses who don't even know how to hold a knife or do anything at all?" Tristan argued as the thoughts of same girl he encountered earlier occupies his mind again, "Then finding one of your choice is the only option" Tyson spoke up "We'll see" Tristan said, got up and went to his room, before anyone else could notice anything. "He's been in this mood since morning" Abel said "Leave him alone for a while" Malcom said, they finished their lunch and went home without bidding goodbye to Tristan. At the noble street: Once Hayden was out of sight, Brooke hurried towards the nearest library which had the collection of ancient books As she walked she tried her best not to let her mind wander off to the thoughts of that stranger again "focus Brooke" she reminded herself, then came across a very old vintage looking library and entered inside, it was filled with antique bookshelves and the entire room was lit by dim yellow lights, an old man came up to her asked "What information do you seek?" He asked in a very raspy and slow voice "Do you by chance have any book that has information on ancient or historical weapons? Like swords and daggers?" Brooke carefully answered the question "You've come to the right place, follow me" he said and started walking towards the shelves, Brooke followed him without any further questioning, he led her deep into the shop and stopped at a wooden shelf with glass display, he opened the shelf and turned to face brook "These are a few of most valued historical books with centuries old information, you might find what you're seeking or you might not but you won't be disappointed at what you'll come across. I'll leave the rest up to you" he said and left her alone, without wasting any second Brooke started reading the titles of the books "the ancient ways of killing", "the first ever vampire war", "rituals of the ancient" after looking at few of the names she came across a giant maroon color covered book named "historical artifacts and weapons", she took the book out of the shelve, laid it open on the nearest table, looked at the table of contents on the second page and opened the section of daggers. Brooke carefully went through the pages until she came across a page on which a very similar diagram of the dagger she found in the morning was drawn, and the title "στιλέτο της ζωής" was written in Greek that meant "Dagger of life" Brooke started reading the description; "The dagger of life was crafted in 1080 A.D, by the legendary vampire metalsmith Lector Klaus for the vampire king II, it has been passed down in the royal family for generations. It is known as the "dagger of life" because ancient readings tell that it holds the power to give new life to a vampire. The deep maroon ruby encrusted in it is only one of its kind known as "blood ruby", it is known to have the essence of eternal life if used properly, it is sharper than any dagger in existence and made of pure silver forged from the depths of mountains only a few know about, This dagger is priceless and no other daggers like it was ever made again because in the wrong hands it could cause mayhem. Legend says that it was heard that no one knows where the dagger is now since it was rumored to be lost in early centuries" Brooke finished reading the description "Woah…it is much more valuable than I thought" she wondered to herself, however a few questions popped up in her head "How do you use it and how could a dagger cause mayhem?" She turned the page but was disappointed as it read "Only a little information could be written about the dagger since no one is allowed to know everything about it" Brooke was even more intrigued than before, she was getting up to look for more books related to it when her phone rang, it was Avery, Brooke picked it "Where are you?" She asked "I'm in a shop. What about you and Norissa?" "We're all looking for you" "Tell me which shop you are at and i'll be there in a minute" "At blooming creams, we're waiting for you to have lunch hurry up" Avery said "Ok ok coming!". Brooke cut the call and quickly put the book back in its place in hopes of coming back later. She bid thankyou to the old man and went straight to Blooming creams and saw Hayden, Avery and Norissa already sitting inside through the glass, "Here I am" Brooke announced "We're all starving, what do you wanna order?" Norissa asked "Umm…let's see I want to get the lava cake and ice-cream" she replied "We asked for lunch not dessert" Avery said and Hayden giggled "Oh then I'll just have fried chicken and waffles with a side of salad" Brooke ordered and glared at Hayden while sitting next to Norissa, "Why didn't you buy anything?" Avery asked "Precisely what I was wondering" Hayden said "I was looking around but couldn't find anything of my liking so ended buying nothing" Brooke replied, she had always been quick to come up with a cover without sounding suspicious so everybody believed "You're so picky" Norissa said "And annoying" Hayden added "Don't start now!" Avery warned before Brooke could give a reply to Hayden "Anyways what did you all get?" Brooke asked "I bought myself a dress, it's pastel purple" Avery replied happily "I bought some shoes and some jewelry" Norissa replied "And what about you Hayden?" "Me? Nothing… Just a few t shirts and formals" he replied hastily "Formals? What do you need formal attire for?" Norissa asked "Mom and dad said that I have to attend a very important event coming up"he replied "What event?" "I don't know they said I'll find about it by myself very soon" "That's weird" Brooke commented "I know it is, they never tell me anything in detail it pisses me off" Hayden agreed "Leave it, who cares anyway the food is here" Brooke said and the waiter served their food on the table, "Looks delirious!" They complimented and started eating the food, after the lunch they ordered dessert and then left for home.
