Chapter 1 ~ " I'll be your sword ?️ " . General Loyd's sword was drained with blood . He gazed his bloodshot eyes at Lord Vinus who smirked as they exchanged eyes contact " Bring it on, Loyd ! '' Let's see how great your 'Hundred sword moves' are," said Lord Vinus as he held his sword tightly "Even if I die here today , I'll make sure you remember me forever !!! '' General Loyd shouted as he charged toward Lord Vinus with a great speed ~~Few days ago~~ General Loyd was the great General of Caddock Empire. His fame knew no bounds as he was a strong General who served the Empire with utmost loyalty. Even though it was rumoured that his martial realm isn't high enough , People still regarded him as the Big tiger of Caddock Empire. Martial Realms can also be said to be a hierarchy of Martial arts. It was divided into Martial beginner realm , Martial Master realm , Martial Lord realm ( also known as realm of the Lords ) , Martial Emperor realm , and Martial demigod realm. The Martial demigod realm was said to be merely a legend as it's been thousands of years since a practitioner in the demigod realm had been sighted last. In the Caddock Empire , a new Emperor had just risen to the throne . Emperor Mayer could be said to be the most insignificant of all the princes. It was unexpected of him to be the new Emperor. However , the former Emperor who had been on the sick bed for a very long time was worried about Mayer for he could be harmed during power struggle among the princes . So , he abdicated the throne to him on the day he passed away Even though Mayer became the Emperor of Caddock Empire,he couldn't sleep at night for he feared his brother's might conspired against him and have him assassinated Minister Argad was the minister of defense in Caddock Empire .He was one of the Ministers that weren't satisfied with Mayer becoming the Emperor . "My Lord , how long do you think the Emperor can last on that throne," Minister Carver ( Minister of finance ) asked as he was chewing roasted meat ? " I doubt he'll last a month ,"replied Minister Argad with a smirk ? Just at that time , a man holding a sword walked to Minister Argad and bower before him " aren't you one of the royal guards ?" Minister Argad asked curiously "Yes ...I am " said the man "Then , can you tell me what you're here for ?" Minister Argad asked with a serious look "His highness is requesting for your audience , My Lord," the man replied " Right now ?" he asked as he couldn't figured out why the Emperor sent for him in the middle of the night " What's going on , Lord ?" Minister Carver asked as he was holding a bowl of wine "I will know when I get to the palace, let's go !" replied Minister Argad as he walked away with the guard Minister Argad walked into the Royal chamber and found the Emperor waiting for him "I hope you aren't angry with me for calling you here by this time," the Emperor said with a smile on his face "I dare not , Your highness. But if I may ask , may I know why you've sent for me , your highness ?" asked Minister Argad as he bowed his head before the Emperor "I did some thinking and realized how great of a man you're . The prime minister post has been vacant for a while . So, I've decided to put you in that post," he said while waiting to see the reaction of Minister Argad "Huuh...this is quite unexpected, Your Highness . May I ask why you are doing this ?" he asked with a happy but rather confusing look "Hahahahaha ! , only someone like you deserves such a post. I need you by my side . Will you stand by me ?" Emperor Mayer asked with a serious look "ugh....I will serve you with utmost loyalty, your highness !" replied Minister Argad as he get down on his knees and bowed before the Emperor "Hahahahaha ! That's great . I hope you'll make me the greatest Emperor to ever reign on this land," Emperor Mayer said as he was filled with joy Minister Argad had half of the ministers and officials by his side .So , he was very powerful. Inorder to gain power , the Emperor decided to keep him by his side The following day , during the meeting with the officials and ministers,the Emperor made a shocking announcement "The post of the prime minister had been vacant for awhile and I've decided to appoint someone to that post," Emperor Mayer said as he glared at the ministers "Oh ...can your highness tell us who you want to appoint to that post ?"asked Minister Voss ( The Minister of Justice ) "I've decided to appoint Minister Argad to the post," he replied confidently Everyone were shocked as they heard this , except Minister Argad who was beaming with smile "However, Your highness...,"Minister Voss tried to speak but the Emperor cut in " Do I need your permission to give an order ! ", the Emperor said with an angry look " Please calm down , your highness,"all the Ministers and officials begged as they bowed before the Emperor Minister Voss paid a visit to Prince Larwin ( The eldest of all the princes ) after the meeting "So, that fool actually made Argad the prime minister ?" Prince Larwin asked with a serious look "Yes, your highness. I don't know what those two are up to . But I'm sure , there will be changes within the palace soon,"Lord Voss said as he faced Prince Larwin "Hmm... Mayer must be trying to gain power,"said Prince Larwin "I looked into it and found out Minister Argad secretly met with the Emperor last night,"Lord Voss said "Things won't be easy anymore now that he's having Minister Argad by his side.",Prince Larwin said with a worried look "What're we going to do now ?,"asked Lord Voss "Well, we'll have to wait and see how things turn out,"he replied Minister Argad visited Emperor Mayer in the night.They were both discussing with bowls of wine in their front. "What will you do about my safety? I don't know when my brother will make a move," the Emperor asked worriedly "Don't worry, your highness. I've found people that can keep you safe," Minister Argad replied with a smile on his face "Oh...that's great.You sure take care of things faster. So , who are the people you're talking about ? " the Emperor asked curiously "I'm talking about the Shadow division," Minister Argad " what ? the Shadow division that is nothing but a legend ? " the Emperor asked sarcastically "That's not true, your highness . People only called Shadow division a legend because only few people has ever seen them." replied Minister Argad with a smile The Shadow division was in charge of the safety of the former Emperor. There are only 15 men in the Shadow division including their leader , General Drod who was popularly known as the hidden general. The Shadow division were good at martial arts. Everyone was either in the seventh or eighth stage of the Martial Master realm except General Drod who was a fourth stage Martial Lord. " So , you're saying the Shadow division actually exists ?" Emperor Mayer asked inquisitively " Yes , Your highness. If you're already here, show yourselves " Minister Argad said Out of nowhere , General Drod and his men appeared and bowed before the Emperor " We shall protect you with our lives , Your highness ! " they chorused "hahahahaha. So , the Shadow division truly exists. This is great" said the Emperor with a satisfying look Later on , the Emperor asked the Shadow division to be on standby and they vanished into thin air "Actually , something has been bothering me for awhile" the Emperor said looking worried "Please share it with me , your highness" Minister Argad said " It's about the Big tiger," Emperor Mayer said " The Big tiger......you mean General Loyd ? " he asked "Yes,that man with a scary name 'The Big tiger' " the Emperor replied "But he's just a General....may I know why he's bothering you ?" asked Minister Argad curiously "That man has over ten thousand soldiers under his command and he used to be the Martial teacher of Prince Larwin when he was young. They were quite close too," said Emperor Mayer as he sighed " So , you mean......he might end up joining hand with Prince Larwin ?" said Minister Argad "Of course ,that's what I'm saying" answered the Emperor " I understand , Your Highness. Once he arrived from the battle , I will keep him under watch" Minister Argad said as he bowed before the Emperor Two days later , General Loyd arrived with few soldiers and his most trusted man ( Eries ). As General Loyd got down from his horse , his son ( Davin ) ran to him joyfully. He picked his son up and carried him on his shoulder. "You're finally back , father " he said beaming with smile " Of course , I am. Have you been doing what i asked of you ? " asked his father with a smiling face " Yes , father. I've been keeping everyone safe," replied little Davin "Woah...my son is going to make a great General " he said and they both bursted into laughter "Let's go and meet your mother," General Loyd said as he was heading in with his son on his shoulder His servants and workers were greeting him as he was heading in. They were happy to see him because he was a very nice man to them. He put down his son and asked to wait for him in his chamber. "Luna , I'm back" he said "I've been waiting for you all days" replied her wife as they hugged each other passionately After discussing for a while , General Loyd left for the palace with Eries. General Loyd walked into the Royal court ( the place where meetings take place between the Emperor and his officials ). He met the Emperor reading a book while sitting on the throne " I'm sorry for returning lately. It takes longer to win the battle. Congratulations on rising to the throne. May you live long," said General Loyd as he bowed his head "It's good to see you again, General" the Emperor said After discussing the situation at the border with the Emperor , General Loyd left for his place with Eries. He was told he had a visitor waiting for him when he got home. "What's the Prince of this nation doing here ?" General Loyd said as he walked in. "oh..you shouldn't said that to someone you're just seeing over a long time" Prince Larwin said beaming with smile "If you keep speaking to me that way , people might start thinking that I'm your father" said General Loyd jokingly "Hahahahaha....you are still the same , master" said Prince Larwin as he laughed "I'm sure you're not here just for this," General Loyd said with a serious look. "Gosh....you are too straightforward" said Prince Larwin "So, what are you here for ?", General Loyd asked. "I need your help , Master," he replied as he got on his knees. "what do you mean by that ?" asked General confusingly "I need your help to stand against Mayer" replied Prince Larwin as he remains on his knees " Don't tell me you're planning to usurp the throne ?" asked General Floyd as he glared at Probably Prince Larwin "Father made a wrong decision and I'm trying to correct that . Sooner or later , Mayer will come for my neck. I'm merely trying to survive" replied Prince Larwin as he returned to his seat "Well, I'm sure you know I take no interest in politics. So , you should leave if you have nothing more to say" said General Loyd "If you changed your mind, you should let me know" he said as he bowed his head and left Minister Argad went to meet the Emperor after receiving a report " Your highness , it's just as you predicted. Prince Larwin visited The Big tiger" said Minister Argad "Hmm...I knew this would happen.It doesn't matter whether Loyd will be helping Larwin or not. I have to get rid of him. He's too dangerous to be left alone" said Emperor Mayer as he sighed "Now that things have turned out this way. I will suggest that we make the first move" Minister Argad said "That will be great. Do you have a plan ?" asked the Emperor " Yes , your highness. But I'll need to have a word with Prince Dilson" he replied "You mean....my son ?" the Emperor asked " Yes , your highness. You don't need to worry. Things will go as our way" Minister Argad replied with a smile Emperor Mayer already had a son before he became the Emperor. His son is almost at the same age with Davin Ten years old Davin was out for a walk when he saw people gathering around . He wondered what was going and walk closer to the crowd "You lowly bastard ! how dare you beg me for food .. huh ! " said Prince Dilson as he was stomping and hitting a little boy He tried to hit the boy again but Davin stopped him by grabbing his hand "What do you think you're doing !" Davin yelled at him "You crazy bastard ! How dare you touch me with that filthy hand of yours ! Do you have a death wish !" Prince Dilson threatened him Prince Dilson tried to fight Davin but ended up getting beaten. People were cheering as Davin was hitting him. Prince Dilson was not with the royal guards so he had no one to help him. The Emperor was furious when he learnt what happened. He sent for Minister Argad immediately "Is getting my son beaten to a pulp your great plan ! " the Emperor yelled at him "Please calm down , Your highness. All you have to do now is to send for General Loyd" said Minister Argad " Oh...now I understand your plan. Hahahahaha " said Emperor Mayer as he laughed hysterically To Be Continued
