Chapter 15

813 Words

Chapter Fifteen Wes went up to his room and showered. He glanced out the window, but he couldn’t spot his security guards. They were there though. He’d tried a couple times to ditch them and thought he was successful only to see them around the next corner. They were good, maybe even better than his guards in Riodan. Wes grinned, but he wasn’t thinking about the security detail anymore. He was picturing a beautiful woman with dark curly hair, a heart-shaped mouth, and an intoxicating scent of flowers that had him mesmerized. He couldn’t get enough of her. Elise was different from any woman he’d ever known. He wanted to be with her, but he wasn’t sure how that was possible. He felt like a fish wanting to live on dry land, every breath felt like it was counting down to an impossible fate.
