Michael's pov
The phone goes over 3 times before my mom picks up. "MICHAEL!" she says cheerful. "Hi mom," I say. "How are you sweetie?" she asks.
"I'm good," I say and smile. I haven't spoken to my mom in too long and I missed it. I really miss her. "How're things there?" I ask. "Good," she says, "just the normal you know. So how's Kristen doing?"
I'm barely able to keep myself from sighing. Why does she always have to ask about Kristen?! I know she's just being a good mother in law, but it annoys me. Sometimes I feel like she should just call Kristen instead of me.
