My heart sank at her words.
She wanted to leave.
Now, I know I didn’t know her that much, but the thought of her leaving had this weirdly indescribable feeling coursing through my entire body. There was just this vibe between us that felt like I’d known her forever… that made conversation with her so easy. Even when I was riling her up or she was haughtily biting my head off… she still held my interest. And even when we were shrouded in silence, it was never uncomfortable… there was just peace.

I obviously didn’t want her to leave.
But keeping her here would not be fair… it would be against everything I stood for. f**k, the very fact that I was considering keeping her here right now really said a lot.
But I was not that selfish.
