“Come to me, Rhysette… wake up, please, I really need to speak to you.
I heard the words loud and clear, the sound of them rousing me from what had obviously been a very deep sleep. At first, I thought it was Ares, but then when I sleepily took a glance at my surroundings, I found the handsome Alpha King sound asleep a few feet away from me.
Now, I know that that should have been enough to have me going back under the blanket and snuggling myself right back to sleep, but the urgency in the voice that had called my name lingered in my head. It was as if someone had truly spoken to me, reaching out from the depths of my subconscious.
