“Are you going to ignore me forever, Gunn?” Shade chuckled in amusement as they walked towards his car, ready for their journey back home, each of them dusty and tired, their clothes stained with blood… most of which wasn’t theirs.
It had been a long three months.
Three long months of joining the day and night patrols, making sure that spies in search of Rhysette were successfully redirected as far away from their region as much as possible, all the way to the east coast, which was much closer to Windy Harbor and therefore made a lot of sense when one really thought about it.
It worked. To a point.
