I was nervous.
I don’t know why, but this little voice in my head seemed to be convinced that telling Natasha who I really was would do nothing but change the dynamics of our friendship… you know, makes things weird between us. The voice was convinced that Natasha would hear that even with my omega status, I was actually from an Alpha family… practically a Princess in another Pack and suddenly become distant towards me.
I didn’t think I could handle that if it happened.
She was my only friend.
The only one whose relationship was pure and true. The twins didn’t count, because I had tainted our relationship by having crushes on them, crushes which they apparently returned too if everything Shade had told me at dawn was true and not some ploy to get into my pants.
