Ranio's POV
The moment we stepped into the narrow corridor, the heavy door behind us slammed shut with a resounding thud. The sound echoed off the stone walls, sending a ripple of dread through me. I glanced at Asher, whose jaw was clenched tight, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of danger. We weren’t alone anymore, and something about this place felt wrong.
“Stay sharp,” I whispered to the others as we began to move deeper into the room.
The atmosphere had shifted. The air felt thick and heavy, as though something unseen was pressing down on us. My senses were on high alert, but nothing seemed out of place. No enemies, no hidden traps that we could see. Yet, the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. The silence became deafening, and an eerie stillness hung over us.
