I climbed onto the bark of the tree and checked for the spots where Mace, Marcella, and I had written our names, but there was nothing there. I suddenly felt foolish for expecting it to be there, it's a replica, but not the same tree.
I climbed up to the very top and stayed there for some time, it gave me the feeling of being back at home.
After a few minutes of peace, I felt like it was time to continue on my quest.
So I unfolded myself to my full height and stood at the very top of the tree.
I stared out at the expanse of the forest my eyes going farther than normal.
I could see for miles.
I took my time to survey the parts of the forest my eyes could see, then I turned full three-sixty, to check the forest behind me.
