Chapter 3:
The drive to Bluestone Street was a bit long and I spent most of the time weeping in the cab.
“It's going to be okay Angelina, you are stronger than you actually know.”
“You have actually been through a lot especially from your days at school to the sleek babes brothel and to meeting Ethan Liam…I really do understand what you are facing.”
“If there is one thing I know is that you are ten times stronger than anything that can happen to you,” Mirabel said slowly as held my back and comforted me.
“I really understand what you are talking about but at this point, I can't help but feel very sad for myself right now.”
“I had given up everything for Ethan, my whole life had been wasted all because of him and his dad!”
“Could you even believe that not for once did he or his dad visit me back at the prison?”
“After all I did for him, all he could do as payback was to ditch me for my step-sister, Eva Scott.”
“This is so irritating and annoying, I feel like going back there and slapping his silly face hard!” I said as I shook my head in disbelief.
The cab driver for some weird reason was still the same driver that had driven us to Liam's family mansion some hours ago.
“Which way to your destination?” He immediately asked, this time not staring at us through the rearview mirror.
I slowly raised my head and gazed at him before saying, “Flank left and stop by the blue building in front of you.”
I said to the driver, still holding up my head with my hand.
“Wait a minute there! Are you really going back to your mom's house?!” Mirabel immediately asked me as she spotted my mom's mini-mansion from afar.
“What choice do I have now?”
“I really can't stay at your place, I don't want to bother anyone with my own issues anymore.”
“My mom is all that I have left and I have to go back to her and at least tell her what really happened.”
“I have to tell her everything that happened to me with Ethan Liam,” I said as I stared at the mini-mansion as we came to a halt by the steel bar gates.
Moments later, I had already paid off the driver and he was already driving off when someone slowly opened the top floor curtains and gazed down at us.
My friend Mirabel didn't actually notice it but I did.
Slowly the front door creaked open and a lady about forty-one years of age walked out of the door.
“Angelina, that's not your mom!” Mirabel said as both of us stared at the lady in shock and bewilderment.
“Sorry! Who are you two?”
