Chapter 4

Amira looked at the doctor, he looked too young to be a doctor, but his white robe distinguished him from the nurses. He had a beautiful face he looked at her with interest, but there was no warmth in his eyes, there was no kindness, just blank brown orbs emptied and void of emotion. "How are you feeling Amira?" The doctor asked in a soft voice. "Okay," Amira simply answered. "Can I ask you some questions, Genesis?" the doctor asked with a curious look on his face. "Who is Genesis?" Amira asked, confused. "Never mind I meant to say, miss Jensen." The doctor said indifferently. "Doctor, I am thirsty," Amira asked, trying to put distance between her and the doctor, which made her uneasy. "I am doctor Liam but you can call me just Liam." He said as he walked away from her to get her water. "What happened to doctor O'Neill?" Amira asked. "He is with his son, he woke up this morning from a..." Liam left his sentence unfinished, which in turn piqued Amira's interest. "From a what?" Amira asked. "Never mind, get some rest, and someone will be back to check on you later." "Sure, thanks" Amira mumbled. Liam exited the room drawing a deep breath, he for sure thought that Amira was the person he was looking for, but what if that woman had changed her appearance or even gender? She was strong enough to wield such magic. He barely made it through the portal and took almost four years to learn to navigate the new world he had landed on. He had gotten lucky that he had an amulet to keep him safe from memory loss. The day the enchantress was hunted, the ripple effect of her magic expanded into the new world in which he had landed. He was hopeful that Amira was the enchantress's little daughter, but she was not the one and she was not the only child with the coma affliction. He couldn't waste time with a nobody. Liam snuck to the coat closet and returned the coat to the hanger where he had found it, he wanted to check for doctor O'Neill's son, but he knew the good doctor would be by his bedside. Liam had adjusted to life in the new world although, he hated the time difference in their world Genesis would have been almost 19 and married to him, all her raw power would be his and he would rule over the land. Since he knew the enchantress could open portals between worlds, he needed to get Genesis for himself before she found her soulmate or her twin flame. He had the right spell to make her believe he was her twin flame but he needed to do it before she turned 15 in her current world. The jump had helped him slow down time and come up with a plan to get Genesis all to himself. Liam left but decided to stay and see if the doctor's son would fall into a deep slumber once more. Maybe Genesis was hidden in a boy's body, he was sure he could fix that too. In their current world everyone seem to accept those relationships, it was similar to his world and it helped him understand why the enchantress had chosen such a place for little Genesis. Liam couldn't help but wonder if the enchantress had been to this world before. That idea ignited a thought in him, a thought that led him to look for her in the only place that would yield to his theories, and in a mission-oriented step, Liam headed to the library.
