Chapter 16

Amira made her way down to the kitchen, the food smelled delicious and she knew that she could trust Linda. Amira didn't know how she could trust Linda but she knew Linda wouldn't hurt her.While eating in the kitchen, Amira learned that Linda had been her nanny when she was little, therefore she was the only family she had at the moment. Linda told Amira about her mother and the things that she wanted to know. Linda wanted to lift Amira’s load but she was prohibited from giving her too much information. Meanwhile, Clarissa had visited O'Neill’s dreams. She used the excuse that she needed to know what was going on with Amira. Clarissa knew that she couldn't keep visiting him but there was something that kept pulling her towards him. After visiting O’Neill, she tried to visit Amira but Amira just wouldn't let her in. Clarissa tried telling Amira that she was Genesis but Amira wasn't buying it. Amira knew that there was a possibility that she was related to that girl, Genesis. Therefore, she wasn't going to let herself be tricked. Clarissa couldn't get to Amira so she tried convincing Leo to start visiting other people's dreams. Visiting others' dreams would allow Leo to get ahold of his powers.

“Leo?” Clarissa asked.

“Hello,” Leo responded immediately.

“Have you tried visiting other dreams?”

“I don’t think it would be okay.”

“You did it while you were asleep, you have done it before.”

“I thought I was dreaming.”

“Hmm, I see you are scared.”

“No, it just feels wrong.”

Clarissa and Leo talked for a while, looking at the pros and cons of using his powers. Clarissa had visited most of the staff in their dreams and convinced Leo to try it with them. If they saw him in their dreams, it would be justified since they had seen him before. Humans wanted magic but did not truly believe in it.

Leo couldn’t believe that he was actually detaching from his body to enter a person's dream. It puts a new meaning to it. If you can believe it, you can achieve it! Leo started to make his way around the house. Clarissa had assured him that he would not go into a coma again because dream walkers and dream eaters being in a coma was a blessing in disguise. He never had to go through the awkward phase of explaining to anyone his dreams or that he knew his deepest, darkest secrets.
