You’re always one decision away from a totally different life.” — Mark Batterson
Bella had returned to work. She was still busy as ever, but she made time to call Aunt Bonnie and the girls every day to see how things were going. She had been giving things a lot of thought since her vacation and had decided she needed to move back home. She needed to be closer to her family. Hopefully, she would be able to make that a reality soon.
Abigail had been busy caring for her mother. Truth be told, her mom was probably ready for her to go home. As she sat there watching television, she thought about going home. She would be so far from her mom. It saddened her and worried her. What if something happened? She wanted to be close by for now on. Her mom should not have found out about her illness alone. She was determined to be there for her mother for now on.
Calista as the norm was running around like her head had been cut off. She had missed her kids, but she was working overtime now to catch up on the bills. She had to make extra money to ensure she had a phone so that she could stay in touch with her mom. She had been awarded child support as well as back pay for the year she had not received anything. She had made up her mind what she was going to do with the back pay. Now to tell her kids.
Calista called her mother and told her that she and the kids were coming for a visit. Her mother sounded good and excited to see the kids. It had been almost a year since she last saw them. Abigail was still at their mother’s caring for her. She could not remember the last time Abigail had saw the kids. She would be surprised to see how much they had grown. They were the best thing to come from her marriage to Beau. She was thankful for them and would not change a thing if it meant she would not have her boys. Now to call Bella. She excitedly dialed Bella’s number. Hello, oh I am so glad you answered she exclaimed. Do you have a minute? I always have a minute for you Calista. Bella smiled. It made her happy to hear from Calista and for her to be in such a good mood. I am going to mom’s this weekend and was hoping you could come as well. The kids will be with me. They would love to see you. Let me see if I can get it off and I will try to be there. Pretty please, pretty please Calista begged. I will see repeated Bella laughing. How have you been Calista. I am good. I miss you and wanted to call as soon as possible to better the odds of you getting off. I will not keep you. I know you are busy. I need to go fix the kids dinner. I hope to see you this weekend. Ok. Love you.
Abigail and her mother were excited about their upcoming visit with Calista and the kids. It had been a while since they had seen the kids. The timing of their visit was perfect. Aunt Bonnie was feeling better and had been pressing Abigail to return to her own life.
