My Past
10 Years Earlier...
They were home, the monsters I lived with. Their yelling got louder with every step they took to the front door. I was currently hiding under my bed, the covers put exactly right so that they would not know I was under here if they walked in. They were hiding the underpart of my bed, my body fitting perfectly, I slowed my breathing. They were human, they could not smell or hear me.
The door slammed open to my room, and I jumped scared half to death. "Bethany! I know you're hereeeee." My "mother" said laughing. " You can't hide from me so where are you my little bean."
Her nails scratched along my desk, flashes of her using them to cut my arms, her hands holding knives. Another pair of footsteps came into the room. "Delaney is she here?"
"I don't think so, I haven't heard a noise yet and she usually squeals when I run my nails on the desk." she replies." Hopefully, she went back to the woods and back to the monsters."
"The gold moon pack hasn't been around since she disappeared, they probably stopped looking for her." my "father" replies. They close the door and I watch them peak a couple times to see if I would come out.
I am leaving tonight, making my escape from this horrid place. I have a family out there in the woods, that have been looking for me. Those assholes they could have told me but no they too f****d up to let anyone know. I hear them downstairs, shuffling about making dinner. I run around my room, being light on my feet, I throw things into my bag, clothes that I would need the stash of food I have if they did not feed me. I zip my bag up and throw on skinny jeans and boots. Time to run.
I make it down the trellis outside my window in 2 minutes getting stuck with thorns. My hands bleed as I ran to the woods behind the house. I trip on roots catching myself before I fall. My wolf hearing enhanced the further I got away from the house. I am a couple of miles away from the house when I hear a twig snap not a couple of feet away. I turn and a shadow pounce on me, I shift out of the way and roll away, popping back up again.
I turn and bright blue eyes meet mine, a wolf. I growl and back away, "Stay away from me." I speak.
The wolf c***s its head at me and then shifts into a beautiful woman. "Bethany?"
My eyes widen at how she knows my name, "How do you know my name?"
