"Now, as I said, we will begin with the simple magic. First, you must connect with your core, and no, that does not mean jump at it!" Villy said. I flushed, as I remembered what I did the first time I saw my core. I got a very long lecture from her when I told her. "I am going to light these candles. The scent will keep your nerves calm. Clear your mind and then find your core once more. It should go rather quickly since you've found it before."
"Okay, sounds easy enough." I said. I got comfortable as she began to mess with the candles. "So calm myself and clear my mind. Hopefully I do better than what I did last time." I muttered. I closed my eyes and began to slow my breathing down.
When I opened my eyes next, I was standing in a meadow. "Okay, I just need to follow the pull. That's not saying much due to my core not being far from here. Good thing that one lady told me to come here, although she wasn't much help either, but at least I met my dragon. I wonder what she does since she isn't active.
I came upon my core after a short walk. It still looks like a ball of fire. "How am I supposed to connect to my core?" I questioned myself. I walked around my core and saw a burnt spot from when I jumped at it. "Why I jumped is still beyond me, but okay."
I found a thres of fire trailing away from the ball, heading towards me. Reaching out my hand, the thred of fire wrapped around me. It didn't burn me, but it did warm my skin.
I studied the tendril as more joined in. They wrapped themselves around me and I suddenly knew what was happening. My core is bonding to me because I am finally ready. I grinned and relaxed into the touch and warmth. The warmer I got, the brighter everything got. I closed my eyes, letting the warmth fully take me.
"Well, I must say that was the quickest anyone has found and connected to their core. Usually it takes five hours. It took you only one. Thankfully nothing was set on fire." Villy exclaimed happily. She seemed to glow with pride, which had me a little confused. I decided not to question it though. "Up. Your training begins with a simple levatation spell. Unlike the books people read, not all magic is said with words. You can just think it and it will happen. Magix has become apart of you. You will need it like you need oxygen."
"Wow. I feel like my life has just gotten more complicated." I muttered.
Villy led me to another room where books, papers, quills, and many other things laid around. Everything is scattered, yet organized. Villy led the way to a claer table. She set a glass there and gave me a look. I just stared at her, not sure what she want me to do. "What do you want me to do with it?"
"Levitate it." Villy bluntly stated. "Just focus your energy into the object and it will float."
"Easier said than done." I said.
I stared at the object, not really sure how I should go about this. I relaxed with a heavy sigh. Would commanding it in my head work? I want you to come to me, I tried. Nothing happened. "Commanding it isn't going to do you any good."
"Well, I'm not sure what else to do!" I defended.
"Like I said, focus your energy. Don't try too hard." Villy demanded. "Breathe in and focus on what you want to happen. Not too mcuh though." I closed my eyes. Perhaps I need to imagine what I want instead of just focusing, because that makes no sense.
"Well, on a brighter note, the glass cup was not important to me. How you managed to melt that is laughable." Villy said. I laughed when I saw the melted glass.
"I focused too hard." I laughed. Villy nodded in agreement while she laughed.
"Perhaps I should have you read some books first before we get you into trainging. That might make more sense to you." Villy said.
"That will definitly help me." I replied in relief. She chuckled.
"I will make a list. There are several books that you are going to have to read. I'll look for half and you'll look for half." Villy said. She quickly wrote down a list of books. She wasn't joking about how many books I will have to read. Fifty books! fifty, but you know, that's okay. I love books.
