Finding Love

"Come in" Mr Smith said Anna stepped into the office " you sent for me sir" " yes I did" pointing at a seat for her.She sat down and waited for him to speak He kept the the things he was doing to focus on her. " It has come to my notice that you have been skipping classes, do you mind telling me why " " I don't mind sir , I've been sick that's all . I won't be skipping classes anymore" " Are you feeling better now then" Mr Smith asked with a concerned look "Yes" she answered with a small " Ok then, you may leave" " Thank you" she said and stood up to leave. As soon as she was outside she let out the breath she was holding. Wow that was intense, she didn't want to lie you know but she had to. She'd being working part time at a coffee shop and one of the morning shifters called in sick and she was asked to fill in for her, it came with extra pay so she isn't complaining plus I needed it. Things have been tight at home recently so she's doing what she can help my momma. " Hey,babe how did it go" asks Janet her best friend as soon as she takes a sit next to her at the cafeteria. " it's all good, Mr Smith is cool with it" "That cool" she said"we wouldn't want our priced student to get sick " she continues with a poor impression of Mr Smith. I giggle a little at her joke. Then she leans in close to me in a conspiratory manner and say "Guess what" " You know I don't know how to guess just tell me , already " "Jack broke up with Melanie" she says keeping her voice low "Um am I supposed to be surprised" "No, this is" she pulls out a photo of Jack kissing a girl at a party Friday night. "Ok should I notice something in it" I said not really getting the thing. Melanie let's out a very unlady like growl. " You are so dense ,that's Melanie little sister" "Wow his a slut" I said not really caring Janet looked at her with a wounded look " Anna does nothing ever impress u" " You know what would make me impressed" " What's that ?" " You getting an average score in maths" If looks could kill I would probably be six feet under right now. * clears throat* " so Janet what are your plans this weekend" " Oh Tom's hosting a party at his house, his parents won't be home, you should come" " Intoxicated high school boys I think not , am not going" "I don't know why I bother asking you out when you never go" she says in an exasperated tone. " it's just not my scene Jen, you gotta understand and besides i might be working nights that day" " yeah, yeah sure no problem" "Let's finish our meal, it's almost time for history" both girls finished they're food and headed to class
