Blurb

Out of the corner of my eye, I see someone walking up to me. I pretend like I don’t see them and hope they just keep walking. “Hi, you must be new around here?” I sigh and look at the guy who spoke. “Kind of but also not really” I say to him. Taking a look at him for the first time. He looks like he just came from a 90’s boy band gig. A little bit shorter than me in these heels with dyed blonde hair tips, baggy jeans with a button up shirt. I mean I’m not a rude person. Sometimes I wish I was and I wish I could say ‘no go away’ ‘I’m not interested’ ‘you’re definitely not my type’. But sadly I’m not and sadly this guy is just not getting my half-assed attempt at engaging in this conversation as a hint. I look over his right shoulder, with this guy still talking away, I notice another guy staring are me. My eyes lock with his eyes. He is gorgeous as he drinks his drinking on the rocks. My eyes started roaming down his body. He would stand a couple of inches taller than me in these heels, his hair is combed dark hair, piercing blue eyes, beautifully dressed in a pair of black dress pants and a navy blue dress shirt.

Right when I locked eye with him again, the guy who was talking to me decided to move and stand in my line of sight, effectively blocking the gorgeous man from my view and forcing me to look at him. Just as I was about to say ‘I’m not interested’ “Mel I have been looking for you all over.”

1. Mel's POV
Mel’s POV Putting on my four inch strappy black heels that match perfectly with my black spaghetti strapped dress that is tight fitting and goes down to just above my knee with a slit going up to just above midthigh. Picking up my clutch purse, check to see if I have the invite, doing a quick hair and makeup check in the mirror, perfect, and right on time the taxi arrives. “Where to love?” said the taxi driver. I told him the address and away we went. We arrived at the address, I paid and thanked the driver and got out of the car. Walked up to the building and knocked on the door. A handsome gentleman opened the door. “Mel, its’ been a long time, you’re looking good”. He said to me looking me up and down, having no shame. “Thanks Jack it has been a long time”. I say to him as I walk past.  Walking down the hallway towards the sound of music, I’m starting to get a bit nervous. I have not been here in a year and a half but my best friend convinced me I need to start getting out again. I think I just need a drink, heading straight to the bar. “Mel!” The bartender says sounding a little shocked to see me. Unfortunately, most of the people around here know me and my story but it’s the best place to meet people who are into the same things as me. “Hi Sam, how are you?” I say a little shyly. “Wow it’s so good to see you, you’re looking great,” Sam says smiling ear to ear. “Thanks Sam, I’m a little nervous” I admit to her. “Need a drink?” I nod. “Rum and coke in a small glass please,” I tell Sam my order and start to look around. In the center of the room is the main stage that can be viewed from 360 degrees. This is where Doms if they want, can put their subs on display. On the main stage is a naked woman being lead on a leash by a big muscly dark skinned man wearing only jeans. He had told her to sit by putting a finger in front of her face and she obediently did. The muscly man walked behind her and pulled a blindfold out of his pocket and put it on, covering her eyes. A lot of people are sitting at the tables and booths watching or engaging in conversations. Towards the back of the room is a door that leads to a hallway of rooms. Each room consisting of anything and everything that one can think of. Still looking around, Jasmine my best friend is supposed to be here, where the hell is she. “Here’s your drink Mel” I turn around to Sam “Thanks Sam, have you seen Jasmine? She’s meant to be here.” “No I haven’t but I’ll keep an eye out.” I thank Sam and turn around with my drink in my hand, taking a sip as I scan the room again looking for Jasmine.  Out of the corner of my eye, I see someone walking up to me. I pretend like I don’t see them and hope they just keep walking. “Hi, you must be new around here?” I sigh and look at the guy who spoke. “Kind of but also not really,” I say to him. Just as I was about to say ‘I’m not interested’ “Mel I have been looking for you all over.”  Thank god, I sigh in relief turning around. “Where have you been,” I say to Jasmine annoyed she had taken so long. “Don’t get your panties in a twist I just got here 5 minutes ago. Sam told me where you were. Where’s the guy you were talking to?” I turn around to the guy who was talking my ear off had gone. “I don’t know but thank god he has gone, 90's boy bands are really not my type,” I say to Jasmine confused I hadn’t even noticed he had left. I glance in the direction of the gorgeous man and he has gone as well. A little bit disappointed, I scan the room and he is nowhere to be seen. He must have found someone and left to one of the rooms. A person like that would have no trouble finding someone here if he doesn’t already have a partner.  “Mel, who are you looking for?” Crap I forgot Jasmine was standing next to me. “No one. Come lets’ have a drink.” I say to her as I pull her to the bar.
