CALM BEFORE THE STORM

“Come in,” I stated as we all turned to look at the door. Troy, my Beta, walked in, “I apologize for interrupting your meeting, your mind link was blocked. A large group of wolves were spotted south of our border. We doubled patrols and secured the children, elderly and pregnant women.” Opening my mind-link I heard guards communicating their positions and keeping tabs on the unwelcomed visitors.
We all stood, “Councilman Warren, I recommend you walk the ladies to the safety bunker while my son and I go outside to protect our territory,” Titan declared. Madison and Penelope rushed past us, practically tackling Troy on their way to the hall. The three of us looked at each other, “Yeah, they’re not missing out on the fight.”
